Towels for Port excursions

I have read that RCI takes your SeaPass as collateral to charge you $25 for unreturned pool towels.

Is there a way to take these pool towels to ports for excursions?

TIA

Sure, you can check out and take as many towels as you like off the ship. Just be sure the check them back in.

Of course they do...but there is NO reason you won't return the towels..is there???? So...no worries!

Every cruise line provides towels for use onshore. Every cruise line will charge you if you don't bring them back...I'd say that's a fair deal!

I got charged once for not returning my towel even though I did, went to customer service to get it off my bill...which they never did in the end. I think they got rid of the policy of checking your sea pass. Don't they just leave one in your room now and you can exchange for new ones on the pool deck?

They were checking them out on Vision last month.

Varies by ship, but never left in your cabin

I remember during my TA on Navigator, I had to sign out towels from the pool deck using my SeaPass even while at sea (e.g. for pool/hot tub use). Maximum two towels signed out per SeaPass at the time.

In my experience on other ships since then, they let you take however many towels you want from the pool deck's towel station, no SeaPass needed. Once in port, a towel station is set up near the gangway (either on- or off-ship) for you to sign out towels on your SeaPass (not sure if there's a limit per SeaPass, but you're allowed at least three).
