lindabodrum Posted February 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2016 What's it like just now and what are you wearing for sightseeing. Wonder if I will need boots, winter coat ...want to minimize what I take for offshore
Rare Keith1010 Posted February 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2016 Part of the answer depends on where you are sailing n the Mediterranean, but generally speaking this time of year it can be cold and rainy. So layering is key and a coat to keep you warm and a hat and even gloves might be needed in some ports. Ideally, a waterproof jacket. paul929207 Posted February 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2016 If you want the current conditions, pick a city and get the weather forecast from one of the weather sites.
navybankerteacher Posted February 14, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2016 There is a fairly wide range of weather expectations - around Genoa in northern Italy it is likely to be in the 30-40's, while south of Turkey in the east, around Rhodes, or further south it will be around 70. iancal Posted February 14, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2016 This is akin to asking what the weather is like in the USA. I suspect warm in FLL and cold in Minneapolis.

lindabodrum Posted February 14, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted February 14, 2016 Yes should've been more specific. I actually spent the last four winters living in Athens and weather could vary from shirts in February to thick sweaters and coats. We will be starting in Barcelona but not sightseeing, embarkation day only . Then onto Genoa, Marseilles Rome Palermo and Valetta , the latter two will be mild I expect. Wonder if I will need boots, winter coat ...want to minimize what I take for offshore If you live in Lapland, you won't need a winter coat. If you live in Northern Australia, you will. Perhaps you could ask the question again, saying where you come from and where you want to go? ;)
