Rare A&L_Ont Posted February 25, 2016 #151 Share Posted February 25, 2016 SAD NEWS FLASH! 😢😢😢 We will not be going to Grand Cayman! Deteriorating weather conditions in the afternoon....all the ships planning to port here today are turning around. 😩 Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app That's too bad. I was thinking it looked so smooth in your morning photo pics. Better get than lounger in the solarium ASAP.

IrishLassie Posted February 25, 2016 #155 Share Posted February 25, 2016 Loving your review & your pictures are great, really like the ones of "our" Skyway Bridge! Hope to try BOS some day, we like to do 7 days or more, so we haven't sailed on her yet! :)
jonj Posted February 25, 2016 #156 Share Posted February 25, 2016 Thank you for the review, enjoying it and your photos. Is it just me or is the Brilliance looking a bit outdated in the decor department?
Clarea Posted February 25, 2016 #157 Share Posted February 25, 2016 Thank you for the review, enjoying it and your photos. Is it just me or is the Brilliance looking a bit outdated in the decor department? She looked great to us this past December. Still a very classy looking ship. jonj Posted February 25, 2016 #158 Share Posted February 25, 2016 She looked great to us this past December. Still a very classy looking ship. I like the layout and the style of the ship. Looking at some of the colors and furnishings it is looking a bit outdated to me in that sense
SeaBreezy Posted February 26, 2016 #159 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Enjoying your reports! Sorry about Grand Cayman. Did you have good weather otherwise for the rest of the day? You are lucky to have Captain Stig! He is a character. Great dry wit and yet very informative/knowledgeable. Have you seen him around and about? Is this your first B2B? Robo1098 Posted February 26, 2016 #160 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Thank you for the information - enjoying your review and photos. Is it just me or does it seem that the ship decor is very outdated. I don't see the ship on the refurbishment schedule Brilliance was renovated in 2013. Rare niksmom630 Posted February 26, 2016 Author #161 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Thank you for the review, enjoying it and your photos. Is it just me or is the Brilliance looking a bit outdated in the decor department? I agree with Bob. The Brilliance is really a beautiful ship. The only areas that could use a spruce up in my opinion is the cabins. I wish they'd get rid of the God awful shower curtains! 😝 Enjoying your reports! Sorry about Grand Cayman. Did you have good weather otherwise for the rest of the day? You are lucky to have Captain Stig! He is a character. Great dry wit and yet very informative/knowledgeable. Have you seen him around and about? Is this your first B2B? The day actually turned into a big pile of grey and yuck after we left Grand Cayman, but we had a few nice hours in the morning. Captain Stig is out and about often talking to the passengers. This is our first B2B, but certainly won't be our last! 😊 Sunrise this morning...it's a tad chilly but it looks like we will have some sunshine today.... Rare niksmom630 Posted February 26, 2016 Author #162 Share Posted February 26, 2016 The weather took a turn for the worse in the afternoon, but I found a quiet spot on Deck 5 And then, to add insult to injury, these were placed in our cabin immediately following the announcement that our Grand Cayman stop as cancelled! Wait, we still have one more day left! Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

hancogran Posted February 26, 2016 #164 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Love your review of one of our favorite ships! StretchamI Posted February 26, 2016 #166 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Thank you very much for the reviews and great pictures. The Brilliance is our favorite ship having logged 45 days on her over the years. Will be back on our home away from home again in December. Again, thank you so much. Rare niksmom630 Posted February 27, 2016 Author #168 Share Posted February 27, 2016 A final good morning from the Brilliance of the Seas! 😢 we have been greeted with temperatures in the 40's, no doubt in an attempt to toughen us up for our return to the great, white north... Sunrise over the port of Tampa The Vision was right behind us this morning... Many more pics to come this afternoon, as we have a few hours to kill at the Tampa airport. Rare niksmom630 Posted February 27, 2016 Author #173 Share Posted February 27, 2016 Thanks, Bob and Andrew, as well as the rest of you still following along for all the nice comments! 😊 We're currently sitting at the gate waiting for our 1:45 pm flight, so I can upload the rest of my photos on the free wifi. We left the ship around 8:45 and were curbside in about 30 minutes. One of our bags was MIA, but I found it in the "missing tag" luggage area, and we were on our way. Flat taxi rate to the airport was $25. We were able to grab 2 taxi vans for our party of 7. Cheaper than the shuttles offered. Here are some photos of the R Bar/Centrum. This was a great location to meet for a pre dinner beverage, before heading into the MDR.... Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

Here is a snapshot of the musical entertainment over our two sailings....as I mentioned early, Kronos was excellent, as was the pub entertainer, Ben Trout.
