Allure of the Seas Live March 13-27 -- High Tides and Great Vibes

Recommended Posts

Andrew, thanks for the cabin crawl!

If you get a chance to answer, how is the closet space? It actually looked a little limited upstairs.

And we are not early risers on a cruise - do those curtains do a good job at keeping out the morning sun? :) Or should I plan on an eye mask :)

Thanks again!

Agreed - nice list, though I wonder who was responsible for the spell check? !

Tom

I think it was the same person who checked it for the lounge was in charge of Nachi Cocum's menu as well. Spelling there is classic. [emoji3]

Thanks for your review. I've really enjoyed it. We will be boarding this weekend and can't wait. How did you find out how many kids? Do they post those stats?

Crew members have a good idea, but the kids club leaders have a better idea. I hate to tell you there are to be more next week. Other than the kids pool most everywhere else is good.

We did notice the specialty restaurants have been quieter the last two nights. We suspect it's because the parents spent enough money already so they don't want to spend extra to eat at the restaurants.

The periscope alarm went off a little early this morning here in California!

I was up to early here to for me. Heads up for tomorrow as I will be scoping into Labadee.

Good morning Andrew,

We are almost home, a small detour through the rolling hills in Tennessee at 1am that would have been better enjoyed in one of your cars durning the day but nonetheless it was an easy journey.

It was a pleasure chatting with yourself, Lisa and Own and thanks again for the tour of deck 17.

Check our roll call, I left you a message there as well with a small request.

Thanks

I'll leave you with a picture of some Canadian food porn.:D. Breakfast.

Thanks for the pick me up. It is nice to see see you are home safe and sound. I will head over to the RC thread shortly.

LOVED the cabin crawl, thank you so much for doing that!

I've heard rumors of a Secret Balcony on Allure located on Deck 7 Aft, can you confirm this?

Thanks again.

Di

I was on it for sail away from PE. It is around the corner from the rock climbing wall for sea views. I'm not sure how accessible it is for the aqua show.

Thanks for the "tour" !

This was my first time asking a question on there. I guess my timing was bad (tried perhaps 6-8 times) but, since your bed is upstairs:

Does it stay good and COLD up there? We like to sleep in the mid-upper 60's. I assume the RLS would be about the same.

We've got a large open space in our house, and it's always a bit warmer upstairs there.

THANKS,

Tom

It stays cool enough that I use all the bedding and I like it cold too. It was the same in the RLS on Oasis. You might also have to close the curtains to keep the heat down at peak times.

Thanks so much for the cabin crawl! We will be on her in 41 days! So excited! This will be our first time in a suite.(Maybe only time with the prices being what they are) We will be in a GS. Do you guys ever take advantage of ordering from the MDR to your room? We were thinking that might be nice for breakfast and maybe a dinner.

We have in the past. It typically takes 40 minutes for dinner to arrive. I hope this helps.

Just watched the replay of your cabin crawl. Very nice.

I am amazed on how close the upstairs bathroom/shower door is to the bed.

In a traditional crown loft 1 and 2. There is a little distance to a very small hallway upstairs opposite the make up station / mirror.

The door is no where near the bed.

Other than that that suite is awesome.

Thanks for sharing.

Enjoy !!!

We too scratch our heads about the bed but the SLS are one off builds so they have a few unique aspects. We would have designed it better but we aren't engineers. [emoji39]

Ah - so, in this case at least, if you've seen one show you've seen 'em all !

THANKS

Tom

Yes...and No....

I have been more than once in the same week and the shows were very similar but the comedians often play off of the audience and this often leads down a different path! The audience is usually different each night and sometimes they will find a dilly.

Good to know. Thanks Andrew.

I guess I learned something today (during my first viewing of a live feed). I went back a short while ago to watch it again since I was at work earlier and had a couple interruptions. As I mentioned before, I had asked the same question a few times (and saw it pop up each time during the live event), yet when I went back to view it, there was only the initial instance of my question - and all the others were not present.

I had assumed that each time I asked it, it was simply bad timing and you didn't see it - when in reality, each of the subsequent attempts were apparently filtered. Any idea if that's some type of built in "anti-spam" feature??

BTW - I did a bit of research on how to watch Periscope on a desktop and apparently there's no easy or fully functional solution... yet!

Really appreciating the time you're taking to do the live review!

Tom, what is your user name. I might have blocked you by accident while trying to get another user. Periscope also gets the trolls, more than CC. Let me know and I will unblock you.

Allure. Thanks again. And the questions were - closet space upstairs and the blackout qualities of the curtains. :)

Dinner at Chops.

Jumbo shrimp cocktail.

Thick cut bacon. It looks a little phallic to me, ironic for food porn.

Delicious filet.

Sides of baked potato, spinach, and corn.

One of the comedians usually does a "family friendly" show in the main theater once during the week. This show is first come, first served, and cannot be reserved ahead of time.

Owen gets the special treatment again. This time our waiter took him under his wing, along with the cooks and the other waiters at the pass.

Owen learning how the slips and cook orders go in and work.

Now he is entering in his own dessert in the system. He got the cookies.

Now he is at the pass seeing with the other waiters waiting for the mains to come through.

Owen at the end of the meal with our waiter. The two of them got on exceptionally well, and I think he was the best waiter we have ever had on a ship.

Didn't even think of that... yep, a DARK room is important - especially since we'll sleep until 9-10 am oftentimes!

I'd need to request some additional horseradish for that cocktail sauce ! :D

Sadly, we'll occasionally bring our own horseradish onboard...

Many products have been launched with poor marketing branding if not just a simply poor name choice. A prime example is when Coors translated its slogan, “Turn it loose” into Spanish, it was read as “Suffer from diarrhea”." When Ford introduced the Pinto in Brazil, they were confused as to why sales were going nowhere. The company later learned “Pinto” is slang for “tiny male genitals” in Brazil. Ford ultimately changed the car’s name to Corcel, which means ‘horse’ in Portuguese.

I found this product in my cabin, and it needs a name change. If it truly represents it's name we all might be in trouble. If this toilet paper is Heaven then we are all in trouble. ;)
