mompells Posted March 15, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2016 If RC has assigned us a 12:30pm-4:30pm ship boarding time, are they very strict with these times? We are sailing on the NOS out of Fort Lauderdale on Saturday. We'd like to go a bit earlier. Will they let us go through the process and get on any earlier?

bigsky Posted March 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2016 Never heard of boarding that late...4:30? We always arrive by 10:30 and don't have to wait long after checking in to board. Haven't sailed that ship though.
CruisingRoyally Posted March 15, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 15, 2016 Once they open up the terminal for check in you can proceed to check in at any point. There have been times that due to capacity within the terminal, especially terminal 29 at Everglades, that they will stop the process of going through security, until they begin boarding and make more room in the terminal. But simply put yes you can arrive earlier and no you won't be forced to wait till 12:30, you only have to wait behind whoever arrived before you. I've been gone for a while, so missed those reports. Do you recall which US ports were reported to have enforced suggested boarding times?

We will be there at 11 am to relieve the 12:30 crowding and hit vintages at 11:15. Do you recall which US ports were reported to have enforced suggested boarding times? There were no reports regarding RCI. Carnival has staggered boarding times which is enforced. Galveston was the first port to have it.
