Ship Boarding Time

Recommended Posts

If RC has assigned us a 12:30pm-4:30pm ship boarding time, are they very strict with these times? We are sailing on the NOS out of Fort Lauderdale on Saturday. We'd like to go a bit earlier. Will they let us go through the process and get on any earlier?

Once they open up the terminal for check in you can proceed to check in at any point. There have been times that due to capacity within the terminal, especially terminal 29 at Everglades, that they will stop the process of going through security, until they begin boarding and make more room in the terminal. But simply put yes you can arrive earlier and no you won't be forced to wait till 12:30, you only have to wait behind whoever arrived before you.

there have been reports that more and more ports are now ENFORCING the times you are given in your documents( suites and Pinnacle of course may show up when they want to)

so there is always the possibility you will not be allowed to check in until 1230.

I've been gone for a while, so missed those reports. Do you recall which US ports were reported to have enforced suggested boarding times?

Everybody gets the same text, so we all show up at 12:30 instead of 11 and the problem is the same. We will be there at 11 am to relieve the 12:30 crowding and hit vintages at 11:15. See you Saturday,

There were no reports regarding RCI. Carnival has staggered boarding times which is enforced. Galveston was the first port to have it.

This is probably so they can show value in their "Faster to the Fun" product they sell.
