Unless you feel your TA should provide you that service you can call the Captains Club desk and order your own luggage tags. I always use a TA and I called the Captains Club desk myself to order our luggage tags for our upcoming Cruise. No TA. Blue Chip Club is Celebrity's Casino VIP club and they book us as a group booking making it apparently difficult for Captains Club to access our res. I printed mine at home and at the check in, the porter stapled the 2 ends together.I tipped the porter a dollar for each suitcase and off we went. Our bags were at our room earlier than ever. Not sure why.;) I think you may be confusing making changes to the reservation vs. simply seeing the reservation and sending your luggage tags for the appropriate cabin. It's worth a try to call. Actually ordered twice on-line and after a few weeks called Captains Club and they confirmed there was no record of our order so they placed the order for us. Luggage tags arrived yesterday. I think that many people, myself included, like the very durable ones that they send to you, as they are difficult to tear off on accident. If Celebrity offers them, and people like them, then it doesn't really matter if it can be done easily at the pier or not. Having cruised 20+ times I feel like the pier area on checkin day is chaotic enough without having to think about even one small thing to be done at that time. Putting my luggage tags on at the hotel and dropping them at the pier already tagged, makes me feel better and more relaxed, and that's important to me. Our sailing is two weeks from Saturday and she is hoping to have them to us in time for our departure. And for those who say why bother, I like the more durable ones that you get in the mail, but beyond that it just adds to the excitement of the pre-cruise. We used to get documents mailed to us and that was always a time to do the 'doc dance' and now that they don't do that any longer we are resigned to doing the luggage tag dance if they ever arrive! Agree. I also prefer the luggage tags that Celebrity mails out. I'd rather just hand my tagged luggage and tip to the porter and be on my way. FWIW...I received our luggage tags in five days when I ordered them from the Captains Club desk for our 3 April Cruise. When sailing RCCL I've had to print our luggage tags at home. No biggie. awhfy Posted March 25, 2016 #19 Share Posted March 25, 2016 I contacted Captains Club to find out why, all of a sudden, I was getting 3-4 emails a day on filling out our online checkin (which is done). The rep said, ah you must have tried to order luggage tags on line. It's throwing the system out of whack. This 5th cruise and never had problem getting tags from web site. I live in Calif. I never had problems with web site except once in a while "please try again in 20 minutes.
