I wholeheartedly support the decision to name Oasis IV "Boaty McBoatface" (kidding!).

 

I read the article about the name contest for the research vessel sometime last week, and I just saw this article earlier tonight. Funny! :)

Very much looking forward to our cruise on harmony in june, love being on a brand new ship with everything new and crisp. Was in Quantum last year and it was amazing, then was on enchantment and splendor just recently, while the older ships are still geat they cant really compare in some aspects.

I think you should reread the article ;)! Unless it´s an April´s Fool joke the article is talking about naming a yet unnamed vessel (Oasis 4).

 

It´s not about a naming ceremony for the Harmony of the Seas ;).

If I recall correctly the contest to name the "Oasis" and "Allure" was won by a gentleman. Didn't seem to bring either of the ships bad luck.

Coming up with a ship's name does make you the godfather.

 

A male godfather is supposedly what is bad luck.
