More great photos Brad - many thanks!

On one of the Ocean Bar photos it looks like there is a piece of a wooden dance floor showing. Do you know if there is any sort of dance space in the Ocean Bar? I know they will just have a pianist, but if there is a floor we'll use it if the pianist has any tunes we can dance to (hopefully he or she will know some tangos and waltzes as we likely won't get any of those when the BB Kings play)!

It was, yes. You can see it on the deck plans. The curved corner on the other side of the wall from Blend is the piano. The circle just above it is the dance floor

Thanks for the pix, a lot of work to upload.

No band in the Ocean Bar anymore? Looks nice but small, colorful. Pretty.

The cabins looked smaller or is it my imagination?

Have been cruising NCL lately and cancelled my Koningsdam one for a European coach tour instead. For now. Will have to check out more itineraries.

I hope that BB KIng will at least sing some slow Waltz songs. My ears hurt when listening to too many "move your body" songs. Queen's lounge has such a nice dance floor and it is a waste if they don't play some nice music for some ballroom dancing.

Based on my experience with BB King on other HAL ships, you'll be disappointed if you expect to go to a blues performance and find songs suited to ballroom dancing.

Brad, from what I've read about Blend, it sounds quite interesting. Can you tell me ore about it.... is it reservation only? Cost? Hours?

Thanks again for all your pictures and information!

You can sign up for times like when they do mixology classes. Cost is around $100 but in not totally sure. I think they do a couple a day for the most part? It wasn't quite at a routine when we were on

Brad I might've missed this bit do they still have the taco station anywhere?

Oh wow didn't even think about that. Didn't see it. We really weren't in the Lido a lot though. It may be housed in one of the stations

Thank you, Brad for the many, many, many pictures. We can't wait for our Christmas cruise on the Koningsdam. You mentioned in another thread that your cabin had a large balcony. What cabin were you in? I'm sure you mentioned it somewhere but I'm binge reading all of the Koningsdam information this morning and I am probably overloading and missed it. :)

Also, is the BB King Blues club in the Queen's Lounge or another space?

Thanks again for the information and pictures and I apologize if I am making you repeat yourself.

We had 5113

Yes BB Kings is in the Queens Lounge. Once they are done the Queens Lounge becomes the nightclub.

I hope that HAL can put different bands to perform in the Queen's Lounge at different time. This is what Princess does.

The other groups and performers have their own spaces. Solo piano in ocean bar. Dueling pianos on billboard onboard. Strings in Lincoln center stage.

I know. But some of their venues do not allow people to dance for the music they play. If HAL can shuffle the program and every other group and performers get their chance to play in the Queen's Lounge at different times, this will be the perfect arrangement. My two cents.

Great spot for coffee would be the Grand Dutch Cafe. It's on deck 3 at the top of the atrium and has tables and chairs both bar height and regular. That would also answer your questions about the seating at the atrium. Deck 2 the ocean bar is immediately adjacent. Deck 1 is just SHore Excursions and meeting rooms.

Another spot for coffee and where you're likely to find a variety of teas would be the Explorations Cafe up next to the Crow's Nest.

Of course there is also the Lido Market for drip coffee and a variety of (usually) bigelow teas.

CC is reporting directly from HAL that Pinnacle II will have modifications based on passenger reaction from only three Koningsdam sailings thus far: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2351198.

The grand stair that connects the casino on Deck 3 (Promenade) and Music Walk on Deck 2 (Plaza) may be eliminated to manage sound intrusion into the casino. Dinner at the Culinary Arts Center and Blend wine bar are apparently DOA--HAL folk don't know what to do with them. And, there will be a new mystery restaurant on Pinnacle II! All very exciting, especially because it's early confirmation of the existence of Pinnacle II, even though it currently exists only as an option. Now we just need word on more OO Single Outside staterooms. :D

Mea culpa, mea culpa, maxima culpa. NOTES (the whiskey bar) was not mentioned as unpopular, it was BLEND (the wine bar). I edited my comment, above, but not fast enough. So sorry.
