Gingee Posted May 16, 2016 #52 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Did they give you any "presents?" Do you have to wear long pants? I know closed shoes.
squiffynimrod Posted May 16, 2016 #53 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Second of three crew bars. :D I wonder how many crew members got the reference .

Pratique Posted May 16, 2016 Author #55 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Did they give you any "presents?" Do you have to wear long pants? I know closed shoes. No gifts except a nice RC lanyard (the breakaway type that won't strangle you), chocolate-dipped strawberries in the pastry galley, and champagne and mimosas at about the mid-point of the tour. Long pants - most definitely yes. One woman wore 3/4 length jeans and those were OK.
Pratique Posted May 16, 2016 Author #56 Share Posted May 16, 2016 :D I wonder how many crew members got the reference . Right? I was laughing when I saw the moose and squirrel sign and the other people on the tour didn't seem to understand why.

Rare perfect match Posted May 17, 2016 #58 Share Posted May 17, 2016 Thank you for sharing your pictures! I really enjoyed them! While we have no immediate plans to sail Allure, we will be on her sister, Oasis, in November. Your pictures have me seriously considering the All Access Tour.:D
Schasz Posted May 23, 2016 #59 Share Posted May 23, 2016 Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures. We just booked the Allure for next April.

OhioMike2016 Posted May 23, 2016 #61 Share Posted May 23, 2016 Was always wondering about doing the Allure tour but your pictures clinch it. I HAVE to do it now! Can you pre-register or do you sign up once on the ship?

Can you pre-register or do you sign up once on the ship? Either way. I reserved in advance in the cruise planner because I wasn't sure if the tours would sell out, but there may still be open slots after you are on board, just don't wait too long to sign up. I think they try to limit it to 15 people per tour, and on my cruise there were six tours (two on each sea day).

OhioMike2016 Posted May 24, 2016 #65 Share Posted May 24, 2016 I see from your pictures that you go to the Engine Control Room. Do they take you to see the actually Engine Room and the actually engines?
Pratique Posted May 24, 2016 Author #66 Share Posted May 24, 2016 I see from your pictures that you go to the Engine Control Room. Do they take you to see the actually Engine Room and the actually engines? No, but you can see the engines and the engine room on the monitors in the engine control room. Also on one day of the cruise there was a nice video on the captain's log TV channel where they go into the engine room.
