LovetheCubs Posted May 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2016 We just got off the Norwegian Escape. It was wonderful...to say the least. We upgraded last min to the Haven area which has its own courtyard, bar, resturant, and sun deck and a concierge too. We really enjoyed the added amenities and to us was worth the cost. Do any of the other lines have something similar?
leaveitallbehind Posted May 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2016 (edited) All cruise lines offer standard and suite categories, most with perks that are different for suites. Some offer dedicated seating areas in the theaters, private sun deck areas, personalized butler services, dedicated specialty restaurants, private cocktail lounges, etc. The programs will likely vary between each line and the best way determine which offers what is to check their websites for information. But NCL is not unique in this. Edited May 21, 2016 by leaveitallbehind
cb at sea Posted May 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2016 ANY cruise line will allow you to pay more for better accommodations! ANY AND ALL! However, a "free" upgrade is rare! What you did was an "upsell"..even tho you upgraded yourself!

What you did was an "upsell"..even tho you upgraded yourself! Nowhere in the OP's post did they say anything requesting information about free upgrades or an explanation of what they did to upgrade. What they were asking - if you would read the post before responding! - was what other cruise lines offered in the way of amenities for suite programs in comparison to NCL. You just continue your numerous incorrect or inaccurate responses to OP's questions!
kitty9 Posted May 22, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 22, 2016 Celebrity offers things like free internet, free specialty dining, Premium Beverage Package, butlers, and a dining room only for those in suites. They also have what's called Michael's Club, a concierge lounge for suite passengers only. Oceania has on board credit, butlers, early embarkation, free internet, bottles of your favorite alcohol in your suite, for the passengers in their largest suites. Rare Scrapnana Posted May 22, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 22, 2016 Holland America has the Neptune Lounge for those in Neptune and Pinnacle Suites. It has a concierge and drinks (soft drinks and alcohol on the honor system) and snacks available through the day. There is not a separate dining room (other than breakfast in the Pinnacle Grill), bar, or deck, however.
JimAOk1945 Posted May 25, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 25, 2016 (edited) Royal Caribbean will also give paid upgrades. Yes, we think it's worth it for all the perks that come with a "full suite." Edited May 25, 2016 by JimAOk1945
GUT2407 Posted May 26, 2016 #10 Share Posted May 26, 2016 They all offer something different, the best bet is to look at their web sites for a more detailed run down.
