cflutist Posted May 26, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2016 I had written to Customer Service asking about Club Class Dining on the Pacific Princess since there is only one MDR. In addition, I asked why the corsage on the first formal night was eliminated from the Suite Benefits, surely two carnations can't cost that much. Here is their response (yeah right): Dear Mrs xxx, Thank you for your correspondence regarding your upcoming cruise onboard Pacific Princess. We appreciate the time you have taken to share your concerns, and we welcome the opportunity to respond at this time. Periodically we review our benefit offerings to ensure we are competitive with the industry overall. Our policies are based on extensive research done by our marketing team. We have a dedicated team of analysts who analyze the features of the policy before they are implemented. At the same time, we also respect the sentiments of our guests and welcome your comments as an attempt to improve our overall performance. This said, I have forwarded your comments to our Customer Service Leadership team for further analysis and internal review. There will be an exclusive Club Class dining area in the main dining room for our guests that have booked a Club Class mini-suite or a full suite. Mrs xxxx, thank you once again for taking the time to share your concerns. We look forward to having you onboard Pacific Princess next June for what we hope will be a completely enjoyable cruise vacation. Until then, we send our kind regards. Sincerely, Princess Cruises Customer Relations Specialist customerrelations@princesscruises.com

Kenswing Posted May 26, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 26, 2016 When did they do away with the corsage? We were on the CB last week and received both a corsage and boutineer.. They were roses..
cflutist Posted May 26, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) When did they do away with the corsage? We were on the CB last week and received both a corsage and boutineer.. They were roses.. I guess it varies by ship, ours were red carnations on our last three sailings on the Star and Grand The new Suite Amenities brochure does not include them. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.princess.com/downloads/pdf/ships/PrincessSuite_eFlyer.pdf&q=princess%20suite%20amenities&ved=0ahUKEwiIwZDK0vjMAhVLwWMKHd9KBdwQFggiMAA&usg=AFQjCNF3K-weuhAa93ppYJSFu-fy2MaIlQ&sig2=tA8zqGvyaYEbGHQMB9vPsA Edited May 26, 2016 by cflutist

Now, I won't condemn a for profit operation from making a living, but if it gets to being chippy with the package than we will head more to Viking Ocean and to land trips. The best way to screw up an on-board experience is to create the impression in your head that you are being fleeced.

That's correct ONLY Princess manages their resources, in order provide their product at an acceptable margin with expectations of a return on their investment. Every other company has no management and just guesses. Its sort of like the government. Just spend it and figure out how to pay for it later. Shame on Princess for being the exception. Apparently Princess passengers (at least on CC) assume the company will take care of them and they have no responsibility for determining the what value they get for their dollar spent. They just complain. Its not like anyone has to buy anything let alone "status" You are dead right Shoalwater. If one doesn't like what's being sold then there are other products to choose from.
