Best place for sailaway......Oasis

Recommended Posts

Happy Tuesday, All!!!:D:D

We leave in 11 short days for our first Royal cruise on the Oasis.

BEYOND excited!!!:D

Can someone tell me where the best location is to be while sailing out of FLL?

We have no interest in the DreamWorks show....DD is too old for that.

While we DO have an Ocean view balcony, apparently we are on the wrong side of the ship...

Would like to see the Flow Rider house ( weird, I know ) and the people at the beach on the jetty wishing us a Bon Voyage....

Whenever I watch the webcam it is wall to wall people up there....

Is there anyplace a little less crowded?

Thanks in advance!!!

I like the Wipe out Bar area, aft on deck 16. There's a lot is space up there, it usually isn't crowded and there's a bar for refreshments. You can see both sides of the inlet and wave goodbye to America and the webcam.

I second this.

Deck 5. You'll be closest to the things you are wanting to see. And it's not crowded at all. And it's in the shade!

Agreed. After the muster drill we were stuck with hundreds of people on deck 4 wanting to use the elevators to go up. We went through the casino to the back of the ship went up one set of stairs and sat in a deck chair on the aft portion on deck 5. Could see both sides really well as well as the Coast Guard RIB jumping our wake. Very few people were there.

Any other bar with view of sea along with music nearby other than Wipeout? Dreamworks not for us either.

Although we spend lots of time on our balcony during the cruise, we love the ambiance of sailaway with other cruisers dancing, toasting each other, etc.

Sailaway is NOT a fast process! You will have time to roam about, and find your perfect spot. Usually, an open deck is best..that's where the party will be. You can do it on your own balcony, in private..but what fun is that?
