George C Posted June 4, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 4, 2016 We always stay at Embassy suites on 17st, free happy hour and free hot breakfast, cheap taxi from port ( 10-15 dollars cheaper to do taxi than shuttle)

Rare silentbob007 Posted June 4, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 4, 2016 Depend on what you want. Hotels close to the port or hotels with specific amenities. I sometimes like staying on the beach instead of downtown which makes the cab ride to the shop a bit more pricey.
Rare pasodancer Posted June 4, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 4, 2016 We always book Hyatt Place - a year out. Price increases as the date gets closer. Has airport shuttle, local shuttle + shuttle ($10/person) to the port). Embassy Suites is our next go to hotel.
KMagz Posted June 4, 2016 #7 Share Posted June 4, 2016 (edited) You don't name a price-point but the Lago Mar is excellent. Your vacation starts the moment you check in - it's right on the beach. If ships are sailing the evening before your cruise a short walk and you're within spitting distance of the ships as the leave the channel. Gets you VERY pumped for YOUR cruise. Caveat: Best if you have a car or plan on eating on property. Edited June 4, 2016 by KMagz

icruise74 Posted June 4, 2016 #9 Share Posted June 4, 2016 Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott. Free shuttle service from airport as well as to the cruise pier! They will even pick you up when the cruise ship returns and take you back to the airport for only $10pp. If you stay at the hotel post cruise then pick up from pier is free. Free breakfast. TXMary Posted June 4, 2016 #11 Share Posted June 4, 2016 We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 before both of our Allure cruises. We loved it and would definitely stay there again if we were cruising out of Fort Lauderdale.
deliver42 Posted June 4, 2016 #12 Share Posted June 4, 2016 We stayed at Hyatt Pier 66 on 17th St. They have a free shuttle to the pier. You take a cab back, about$10.00 depending on traffic or the bridge. You can also park free for up to 14 days, and get a free breakfast. If you go into the Tower, you may have a room that overlooks the cruise terminals.
ewenix Posted June 5, 2016 #13 Share Posted June 5, 2016 We like to stay at the embassy suites on 17th, but have stayed at the hyatt place 17th street as well. (My only issue with the hyatt is they like to charge you for parking even if you don't have a car and reminded them of that at check-in.)

deliver42 Posted June 5, 2016 #15 Share Posted June 5, 2016 Don't confuse Hyatt Place with Pier 66. They are different hotels.
