Do you have any MSC Divina questions?

Really detailed and beautiful light fixtures

They are beautiful, but there isn't an hour goes by in the evening when someone doesn't bang their heads on them! Every so often you'd hear a clunk somewhere in the lounge  In fact, I couldn't believe MSC had installed them on Divina and Preziosa when they were clearly a hazard on Fantasia and Splendida. On my TA on Divina last year our group constantly placed two tables together as there was a light fitting directly over the gap between the two - even our regular server, Darwin, would bump his head on them when the tables were separated.

You may hear some complaints that the main areas of divina are dark. I think there is some legitimacy in the observations. Unfortunately the entire deck 7 has minimal Light due to lifeboat overhangs so they keep all the shades drawn. I moved these so you could see what I'm talking about. Dark, yep. beautiful, yep! It's just not beautifully connected to the sea like some ships are.

Msc attempts quest, but once the mc gives directions in English they flash in 5 different languages on the big screens. Since this is a timed event, it just doesn't quite make it in terms of Quest as many people are confused and/or late to the quest. Regardless, always a funny evening. Quest multi language directions :

Deck 6 wasn't covered by lifeboats but unfortunately the public spaces didn't have many sea views either (the ship shops had the nice views :))

Wow...I see a couple of purses I would love to have. Did you happen to notice the price range? Are they expensive?

Rot roh... Another purse lover :). The prices were what you would expect for designer bags. However; if you are stopping in San Juan I highly recommend the coach outlet. They always have better prices than the coach outlets near me and I've been going there for well over 10 years. This year I picked up not one but FIVE (plus two wallets) for close to 300.00. Every girl has a vice I suppose :)

Ok- back to regular broadcast session :). Many of you already know that my biggest gripe with the yacht club is lack of Shade at the one pool. The overhang you see in the photo below offers good shade to half the pool. This is absolutely the only shade available unless you are willing to sit at a table in the smoking section or near the bar. The pool has a capacity of 18. Most of the time it was empty, but on the last to see day, there were 23 of us packed in before I bailed.

Shade is challenging even outside of the yacht club on Divina. With a passenger space ratio of 34.23, The Divina is a crowded ship. Make this extra crowded when you consider kids sale free and most of the birth hold for persons. Triple the crowding around the pool when you consider that management chooses to rope off the entire starboard side of the main pool to sell trinkets. The port side of the main pool is entirely reserved for smoking tables. The end results- if you want to lounger on Divina get up early and park yourself in a chair for the day. I actually saw people lying on the deck with a towel because no lounge chairs were found.

Crazy Huh! I was in San Juan back at the beginning of April and saw that cute little black/brown combo upfront and thought that would be ideal for one purse cruising. It was $225 on some type of introduction promotional sale for $79. I passed and was kicking myself. I happened to return on June 22nd which was coincidentally their once a year 50% off coupon day (they were handing them out in the front of the store). HOWEVER; they were willing to apply the 50% off to the purses that were already discounted! Coach has never had a sale like that in Michigan and the Coach store in San Juan are not knock offs.

I just added them all up because the tags are still on all but one, and they were a bit more than 300.00. The Promo purse I came back for wasn't included in the sale, but I got it anyway for 79.00 (it came with the black wallet/make up bag). Coral/orangish number up front that I've been using all summer was $84 (had to have that). Yellow tote was $79 (came with the small yellow )and The Yellow cross body and the brown/tan cross body bag were $47 each!! Grand total $334.00. What I saved in cruise fare I made up for in purses :).

Does Divina have anything in their shops that is unique to Italy. Items not found on other cruise lines?

Typical china stuff in most stores, but they were selling made in Venice on the Isle of Murano jewelry beads and if I hadn't already been to Murano once (and am going back next week, yeeeeeeah!); I would have bought one. They also were selling pasta, olive oil and such from Italy, but I passed. There might have been more. In spite of my purse affair, I'm not much of a shopper.

I'll finish up with more photos tomorrow morning with my coffee, today got unexpectedly busy :).

I've been to Puerto Rico many times.

We've rented a car. Drove to where they have the roasted pig.

Taken a bus to isla Verde.

Gone to the forts.

Gone to the Bacardi Factory.

Spent $ in the casino (when it was there).

But I've never been to the Coach store. Where is it?

Getting off the ship and facing the Sheraton, how far is it, do you walk left or right?
