The waffles at the buffet for breakfast are divine. Perfectly crispy, and so tasty. Wish I knew how to make waffles like that at home.

In the dining rooms, I love:

Dorado Ceviche

Peking Duck Salad

Fried Brie

Beef Carpaccio

Artichoke Veloute

Rack of Lamb

Lamb Shank

Wiener Schnitzel

Grouper

My girls and I still talk about NCL's chocolate croissants which we had two years ago. That's how good they were. We just got off a Princess cruise and their chocolate croissants paled in comparison.

We loved the made-to-order crepes in the buffet as well, especially with butter and cinnamon sugar. And my husband still misses the mini donuts dipped in chocolate fondue (served in the buffet in the evenings).

What this thread needs is some pictures!!!!!

I agree with a previous poster about the Boeuf pour deux in Le Bistro. Oh.my.god!!!!

Sadly, I have found the desserts to be bland and serious lacking sugar. I guess sugar is expensive.

What some love, of course others do not. The rebellious fish was poured down the bathroom sink but I did like the glass it came in very much. On the other hand, I don't think I've ever met a martini I didn't like, lol.

I agree about the Rebellious Fish, for me one sip was enough. The Rum Cake martini was my favourite, but creamy rum drinks aren't everyone's taste.:)

I'm not sure if it's still served with the new menus but my favorite is the open air burger. I usually get it for lunch on embarkation day. Yum! Also, I love the Singapore Noodles at Shanghai's. Spicy but good!

I've seen a few posts about this topic on other cruise line boards and was wondering what everyone's favorite food or beverage item on NCL menus are? The more specific the better. I've been told that the buffet has some one the best cinnamon rolls ever and that the rebellious fish is a must try, but what other foods or drinks are not to be missed?

Ocean Blue - Stone Crab Claws

The hot wings, cheesecake (although I swap the pineapple sauce for strawberry) and the ice cream brownie sundae from Blue Lagoon. It was only available at lunchtime on my May/June cruise.

The Duo De Canard from Le Bistro

The bread from La Cuccina - but I have to have it with butter. Love the way it melts on the warm bread.

Strawberry Napolean from MDR

All the grainy breads from the buffet. The crepes are good too. Love the ice cream also, but I am an ice-cream lover. Also the whole turkey from the buffet/freshly carved. Usually only available one night, but I look for it and give the dining rooms a miss that night. The red velvet cake, sometimes at the afternoon buffet. Mushroom Quesadillas and the Mexican chicken lasagne. Fish or crab cakes.

The chocolate volcano is my default dessert in the MDR if there isn't something else I fancy, but I always order it without the volcano as I love the ice cream and strawberry sauce and I usually end up with extra ice-cream. (Not a chocolate cake lover although I do love chocolate in its pure form).
