SilvertoGold Posted August 18, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2016 I was wondering if HAL still has the the paper copies of the small NY Times Digest available to pick up around the ship each day. I can see this being on the chopping block, but I hope not! Thanks for your experience on recent cruises.
Max Circus Posted August 18, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2016 On the Koningsdam they had these in the Neptune Lounge each day. I didn't look elsewhere for them but would have to think they also have them in guest service desk area. drowelf Posted August 18, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 18, 2016 On our last cruise (early 2015) I always got my copies at the Front Desk each day. Would generally pick up all the English Language sheets and get some news of the world! Cheers,
jtl513 Posted August 18, 2016 #9 Share Posted August 18, 2016 (edited) If you get up too late and don't find any around the ship, ask at the front desk and they will print one for you while you wait! . Edited August 18, 2016 by jtl513

Duurt wat tijd met een beetje oefenen / Not an easy language to learn. Takes a little practice ;)

sail7seas Posted August 19, 2016 #18 Share Posted August 19, 2016 There often are a few piles of them in Lido during breakfast hours.
scluvsrain Posted August 19, 2016 #19 Share Posted August 19, 2016 I just got off the Maasdam and they had the papers every day. Gosh, I don't know what I'd do if they quit printing them. I enjoy reading them while I eat breakfast, or sitting in the theatre waiting for the show to begin, in the evening.

drlee Posted August 19, 2016 #22 Share Posted August 19, 2016 In our experience the digests are available in the MDR, at the front desk, in the Lido and sometimes in the library. In addition, you have access to the entire NYTimes paper's content for free via the internet. (no plan required). While it takes a little while to download articles with pictures, you get much more than the digest. Just act with your Ipad or other device like you're logging in to an internet plan, but choose NYTimes without logging in.
