That's just to big for me. Can you imagine how it's going to be on a sea day when no one can get off the ship.  The chair hogs will be up early!!

All depends on how the ship is laid out. RCIs Oasis class is amazing, with 1,000+ more people and on a sea day, there's loads of space all around the open decks, not a problem getting a chair, finding some peace and quiet, sunning oneself, etc.. They do an amazing job or spreading people about. So, if P&O does a great design, people will flow through the shop just fine..

The drawback of these huge ships is ports - there's just not many at all that can handle ships of this size. So, limited itineraries.... Not that it seems to stop Oasis class ships from sailing full every week, but it does get repetitive..... It's a definite wait and see...

"I can confirm that there will be some stand-out features in terms of design. And given the scale of the ship it does give us the chance to come up with features which will be brand new for the brand."

However, Ludlow ruled out any features such as dodgems, climbing walls, simulated skydiving or simulated surfing, as can be found on Royal Caribbean ships.

He said: "We are P&O Cruises and we know the tastes of our guests, so we will evolve rather than change."

So what does that mean? Giant Bingo and Karaoke venues? Really curious what type of "stand-out features" they have in mind.

5200 passengers. That is a lot of people to keep busy and entertained.
