Goodtime Cruizin Posted September 22, 2016 #26 Share Posted September 22, 2016 Slow, but hopefully they will improve it in the coming dry dock. We're on the last cruise before dydock as we booked this cruise 20 months ago and the dry dock wasn't even announced. Perhaps it'll work for future cruises. I think I'll pass on the 30% savings and wait until we get on board. Maybe we can get a few reviews from other cruisers. thanks Bob
vegas7df Posted September 22, 2016 #27 Share Posted September 22, 2016 There is no 30% discount onboard. The only discounts on board are based on C&A level, which may be better only at the Diamond and above level, and depending on length of cruise, how many devices, and what level of service. Hi Bob, Do you know what the Diamond Discount would be on board ? Thanks Donna

vegas7df Posted September 22, 2016 #29 Share Posted September 22, 2016 Thanks Bob. Boarding Liberty on Sunday and deciding if I should purchase now or on-board.
shirazcruiser Posted September 22, 2016 #30 Share Posted September 22, 2016 If I purchase Voom online with the 30% discount, will RCCL then allow my D+ discount of "$59.90 off any internet purchase" be applied after I'm onboard?

INCHARGE Posted September 22, 2016 #33 Share Posted September 22, 2016 Does anyone recall the package price for VOOM plus streaming if purchased on the ship? None of my group have ever cruised RC, and I want to give everyone this info. I booked mine online, but I want to give them the alternate onboard price. Biker19 Posted September 22, 2016 #34 Share Posted September 22, 2016 Does anyone recall the package price for VOOM plus streaming if purchased on the ship? 12.99 for SURF and 17.99 for STREAM - both for one device.

Unless you are on a 12+ day sailing, the D+ discount on board is a better deal than purchasing online before the cruise.
coloradoSunshine Posted September 22, 2016 #36 Share Posted September 22, 2016 I'm a little confused on the packages, I hope this is an appropriate place to ask and add details to this thread. Is the Voom surf - 1 device ($9.09/day), responsive enough to check basic email to check in with family occasionally? Wouldn't do much actual surfing, no streaming. It is 30% on our planner for Oasis in a couple weeks, or I can get Voom Surf & Stream for $12.95/day.

It is 30% on our planner for Oasis in a couple weeks, or I can get Voom Surf & Stream for $12.95/day. We recently (May) did a B2B on Adventure...pre-purchased the Voom one device package, one person which came to a total of $63.63 for each of our 7 night cruise's. This worked well for us to check emails..send emails...Google...the speed varied (but still faster than the old version)...it was nice having the unlimited and we were glad we did the pre-purchase...We're D+ and would have canceled once onboard if we could have gotten a better deal...Some have posted that we could (should) have gotten it cheaper...but we were one of the first to sail with the new Voom on Adventure and after inquiring with guest services (twice) and the LA...that's not what happened with our sailings...So had no problem with $63.63 (a week) when all was said and done. DisneyDatknee Posted September 23, 2016 #40 Share Posted September 23, 2016 I thought the Radiance had Voom installed during dry-dock two weeks before I sailed. They made a big deal about it. I didn't buy it as I could just use AT&T in the ports.
Orsino Posted September 23, 2016 #41 Share Posted September 23, 2016 Can one buy Voom access for just one day of a seven day cruise? I don't need the whole week.
