Cafe Al Bacio question

Has anyone sailed recently, and can tell me whether they have brought the delicious black and white cookies back to Cafe Al Bacio (please say yes!) ?

Did not see them on Solstice in Sept.

Ha ha, good one. Seriously though, is there anyone that you can talk to it celebrity about bringing them back? Do they even care that we miss them?

Keep asking for them when on the ship and also put it down on the questionnaire.

 

I also didnt see them and asked the head baker. A plate full was sent to the cabin. I didnt mean to ask for just myself I meant it for everyone.

 

Yes the black and whites are really good.

Love the photo. If you like peanut butter try that chocolate peanut butter cake. It's absolutely delicious. We had it on our last cruise at cafe Al bacio and the Hostess in the MDR arranged for us to have it for dessert one night in the MDR as a special treat.

I've never experienced these black and whites, am starting to get worried I've seriously been missing out lol[emoji43]. Although from all that selection in the above photos I think I'm already spoiled for choice! [emoji38]

I had one everyday on our 13-night Mediterranean cruise on the equinox. Sadly, I never took one picture of them.

Here is a photo of a black and white cookies. Not Celebrity's but this is a reasonable facsimile of it. They are cake-like and half dipped in dark chocolate; half dipped in white chocolate.

Noooooooooooo!!!! They haven't had them for the last couple of years. I asked about them but was told they wouldn't be making them.

 

Yes, there are many luscious looking things on display in Al Bacio, but I never get them. For me it's B & W cookies or nothing. I would love it if they would bring them back.

Sailing for the first time on X next month and am a big fan of the BW cookie in general. I grew up in NYC and they are classic there, can find them in any bakery. I've tried making them myself and they are time-consuming, so I can understand why they might have been taken off the menu. Bummer though.

Most of the desserts in Al Bacio are better than the ones with the meals.

 

I tried the B & W cookies on one cruise and wasn't impressed. Depending on what you like if you've never had them you may not be missing much.

I was told they stopped serving them because the "savory aroma" lingered in the cases and "flavored" the sweets. :(
