Which Do You Prefer? The Getaway or The Escape?

Just got back from a cruise on the Escape--loved it, and am thinking about booking another cruise with NCL. Schedule wise, it would probably have to be on the Getaway.

Are there any big differences? Is it the same general layout?

Any opinions on either ship or pros and cons or general experiences on the Getaway, please speak up!

Thank you

Getaway was great! Our balcony tiny though- not much leg room. The dancers in the production show were the best dancers I have ever seen! I found the area by the O'Sheehans pub could get excessively loud if there was a show going on in the lounge area a deck below (it's open concept there). I haven't been on the Escape, but I think you'll have a similar experience, just different ports.

I haven't sailed either, but based on similar posts, I suspect you'll find that people slightly prefer Escape, although the ships are very much alike. Escape essentially took the Getaway design and added a few improvements (larger balconies, a couple more dining/drinking venues, improved casino bar layout, etc. I think the only drawback of the Escape is an increased passenger load. Still, the ships are so similar that I would choose based on itinerary, and I'd venture to bet that you'll have a great time on either.

Been in Getaway once and Escape twice so I indeed prefer Escape although Getaway is still very nice. I especially like Food Republic on the Escape but hate how Skyline Bar is right next to the casino as it gets freaking loud when playing blackjack. I like Bliss Lounge more on the Breakway/Getaway
