Did anyone on this sailing get hors d'ouerves in cabin? We had a suite but didn't get any, which seemed odd. Our cabin steward only delivered the evening menu twice out of nine nights.

I only had a JS so I cannot comment.

I quite liked Cuddy. We had fun with him when we ran into him around the ship and when we watched them tape the morning show a few times.

Agreed. It took me a bit to warm up to him, just because he was a large part of activities earlier in the week, but I enjoy him.

Does the WJ totally close at 9PM still? No late snacks; just Cafe Promenade? What is the state of that place these days? I'm getting spoiled by other lines much more youthful entertainment and more liberal late night snacking venues.

I am booked for the 9 day ABC on Navigator in spring 2018 so enjoying reading along.

That has been my experience on all of our RCI cruises the past few years. I think that is way too early to close and I'd like to see it open for dinner until a later hour like at least 10 PM. On some evenings, depending on what is going on, it seems like we have to rush to fit dinner in. Snacks should go until at least midnight. The offerings in the Cafe Promenade and Sorrento's for late night snacks are becoming somewhat pathetic.

I know I owe you all the recap of the last two sea days, but I just need to say this cruise was fantastic, not because of the ports or ship itself, but because of the amazing crew! This was hands down the best service I received on my seven cruises this year in every function. I think once the LA is replaced, the Navigator will be a well oiled machine.

I have booked myself for 14 days on Navigator in March.

P.S This is not an invitation for everyone to chime in and dispute me or tell me why some other ship is better. The world is full of all types and much like anything there is never a one size fits all. We are all on here to share our experiences, but not to preach. There are churches for that!

I saw people doing self carry of luggage leaving with my Suites/Pinnacle group at 930. Guess the delayed disembarkation messed with their plans for an early departure.

Saw a lot of unhappy wheelchair passengers waiting for assistance to disembark.

Thanks to our concierge escort, we were off ship by 940 and in a cab 10 minutes later

Rick,

Thanks for your awesome review. I've sailed on the Navigator 4 times, and will be on her again for this itinerary in Feb 2018. I have to agree--the crew on this ship is hands down THE BEST. I absolutely love them and have always received amazing, amazing service. We've had Cuddy as CD the last 2 times we've sailed on her and have found him quite entertaining and fun. Watching his morning show is always fun and I just love seeing how he interacts with his activities crew also, it's obvious they have a lot of fun while working very hard to please a ship full of quite diverse passengers! Thanks again for your wonderful review!

You don't "owe" us anything - thanks for a great review and for all the photos and details! Navigator has a special place in DW's and my heart as it's the first ship we sailed on and is what got us hooked onto cruising. We're really looking forward to returning to Navigator next year on (basically) the same itinerary.

Thanks again and happy cruising :)

Unless Santa leaves one (really I have been a good boy) it will 82 days and 12 hours until I see one in real life, not that I'm counting. ;)

I like the photos of you from behind the scenes. What's funny is your tan progression over the week. Hopefully Captain Tax has decided to return home with you, or is he staying on board until you return in March?

Random question, I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the Sabor guacamole is available in the Schooner Bar sometimes. Is it possible for you to confirm that this is true? And if it is, if you could find out the cost that would be great!

I can confirm this to be true. Sabor margaritas and guacamole can be ordered in the Schooner Bar, but only during the hours in which Sabor is open (lunch and dinner).

I did the Chef's Table the last time I was on the Nav and yes, it was in the jammer but they did a nice job of trying to make it private. In fact they had 2 of them. Glad I made the first one. There was 15 of us. I counted the seating for the second one and there were 57! Not sure how they ended up putting the screens to wall it off from the foot traffic.

I forgot to mention, Chef's Table was held four times during our sailing. However, if you want to repeat it twice during the sailing, the last evening it is held they change the menu and the wine pairings. If anyone enjoyed this special menu, I would love to hear how it differed.

Also, the CT wine pairings are on a ship-by-ship basis. As sad as I was to see Caymus wasn't on the menu for the Navigator, we all found the wine selections to be fantastic.

Lisa better get a bigger sleigh and purchase some antlers for Owen's hockey team.

And regarding my tan.

Even with delayed disembarkation this morning and getting stopped for an agricultural check at customs, we arrived at the airport at 10 AM on the dot.

Laura was off the ship and we were on the road at around 10 till 8:00. The Seafarers Ministry was a great waiting lot.

Thanks for letting me tag along with my wife's cruise. ;)
