We paid WAY too much for this ship......our worst CCL cruise ever due to this ship which was overcrowded, no windows, filled in atrium, awful theatre w/moveable seats and pillars blocking view....but here is the inflated price we paid for an 8th deck balcony cabin:

Cabin: $1319 x 2 = $2638.00

Taxes/Fees: $115.11 x 2 = $230.22

TOTAL: $2868.22 for 2

(the most we have paid to date and that includes RCI Allure Ocean View balcony on hump and RCI Harmony Oceanview w/extended balcony). The Vista was a very disappointing ship and we will not sail her sister ships...they crammed in extra cabins = more pax and closed in the atrium (no glass elevators), took away all the windows on deck 5.....lots of lines everywhere (comedy show, lido etc).

What's the point especially if you are past final payment? Assurance that you didn't get hosed? To give the braggarts a chance to claim that they outsmarted everyone else and paid the lowest?

 

At the time you booked the price was agreeable. Once on board it's best not to get into any "How much did you pay?" discussions as it is way too late to do anything about it. With the fluid pricing on cruises there will be somebody who paid less than you.

 

Enjoy your upcoming vacation. Don't let pricing detract from your enjoyment - you did lock in the cabin and sailing that you wanted.

 

The point is that we are human and want validation that we have done the "right" thing. It might not mean anything to YOU. But seeing this, might be helpful to someone else.

We are cruising 10/14/18 going to Roatan, Belize & Cozumel. We are staying in Havana Cabana Balcony room 5215. Total rate for 2 people including gratuities was $2721.80.

 

Cruise rate $1189 x 2 = $2,378.00

Taxes & port fees $81.25 x 2 = $162.50

Gratuities $90.65 x 2 = $181.30

Cove Balcony #2279 @ $ 2579.00 for both of us

Taxes and Port Fees $239.50 $100 OBC

 

January 2018 got price reduction of $ 135.00 but lost $50 OBC.

One week later got an upsell to 11273 for $72.

So our rate is now $2510.00 $254.50 Taxes and Port Fees $254.50. $50 OBC
