Pellaz Posted January 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2017 I have a question about the SetSail Pass I'm about to print off for my upcoming cruise. There are checkboxes for how you want to convert currency for your onboard account and some mention of conversion charges, but the descriptions are a bit confusing. I'm using my US-based credit card in American dollars, so which box should I check?

hallasm Posted January 27, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2017 You should only get that answer if the currency of your card one of the following: AUD, CAD, CHF, DKK, EUR, HKD, JPY, MXP, NOK, SEK, GBP? If USD you should answer 'No' and you do not have the check boxes for A I choose to pay my onboard changes in the currency of my card. B I choose to have my credit card issuer convert my onboard changes to the currency of my For me the the option B is best - my Credit card exchange rate is much better than RCCL exchange rate if they charge in 'My Currency' This is also the case for use of credit card in shops where you can be asked the same question - Will very much depend of your Bank / credit card issuer

cb at sea Posted January 27, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 27, 2017 You don't have to convert anything....the ship functions on US Dollars, and that's what you'll be using! No worries! In ports, the US dollar is accepted, too!
