Superbowl

I am going to be on the Zuiderdam for the super bowl. Just off Koningsdam and play off game was on. Nothing was done except game shown in crows nest.

Have been on other HAL ships previous years and they did a terrific buffet with munchies etc. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Seriously hoping something is in place.

Superbowl Sunday is usually a big thing in the main show lounge with decorations, food and cervezas

We were aboard hAL shiips a number of times for Superbbowl and they always ran a party. they decorate the show room with appropreriate colors b allonos, set up buffet of game day nibbles, of courses,bar service. The game is aso availablde on cabin tv's assumin gthe ship is able to pull down the signal. The only probable reason the game would not be seen is ifd fhey cannof get gthe signal from the satellite It is always fun, esepc ially if the best team *NE Patriots, win!! : D

Have spent the past 3 superbowls on HAL ships... Dont worry, they do it right.

We have also sailed when the Superbowl was shown in the showroom and the Queen's Lounge, Sport's Bar on some ships and of course you can view the game in your cabin.

On the various ships we have been on, there were lots of food available.

Hopefully that was just Koningsdam thing that they didn't do anything.

I would expect the game in the showroom unless you're on the Noordam, Maasdam, or Volendam. My only HAL superbowl was on the Zaandam out of Singapore and the game was 6AM Monday. The Wajang theater was about half full and we had a strange assortment of breakfast foods and typical tailgate items.

 

I'll bet a lot of people were watching in bed on their cabin TV's.

Have often had a small food selection in the Sport's Bar with the play-offs and a huge bash in the show lounge for the Super Bowl.

Last year on Westerdam had party in Main Showroom. We purchased $50 all inclusive VIP tickets which included front row seats in very comfy chairs, "butler" service food and drinks(unlimited included). Had a great time and suggest you check this out when you board as not well advertised. Bar waiter told us about it and sold us the tickets when he saw DH with Broncos cap on. Huge spread set up between casino and showroom with lots of good food, carved watermelons, special superbowl decorated cakes, etc. But BIG lines there. Nice to be able to avoid that with the

VIP tickets. Don't get the commercials on board so you will miss those. But the CD occupied that time with some fun games and such and gave out lots of prizes - tee shirts, Del Sol items, etc We had a GREAT time and highly recommend if they do the same on Zuiderdam.

Been on 3 cruises on Superbowl. Check out casino as they usually have a pool going and squares for sale. Go Pats!!!!!!!
