A quick evening update before I head off to the casino to make my donation at the three card poker table....

Whelp, dinner in the Windjammer was the bomb. I'm officially a believer. The lobster tail was cooked perfectly, paired with a loaded baked potato, side salad, and some chicken tortellini consume.... sadly there was no room for jello [emoji23][emoji23]

As Dan mentioned, there was also hand served ice cream....maybe I'll swing by later

We have done the Windjammer for dinner several times on our last two cruises. Completely different atmosphere, decent food selection, quicker - and not nearly the cluster it is at breakfast. We've enjoyed it. But shhhhhhh, don't let the secret get out! [emoji12]

Dan.

Which bar is this from? It looks like there may be different prices for similar drinks at different locations on the ship and that they have bumped up the prices of drinks but not the limit on the packages.

Good morning from the Nav, day 3! We had another beautiful sunrise this morning, and the water is like glass.

I was up early again this morning. It is the best time to capture photos [emoji4]

We were on the Feb 3 - Feb 12th sailing of NOS and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Beautiful ship and wonderful crew! One thing we were disappointed in was that RCCL will no longer be serving Ketel One Vodka and select wines along with other beverages. I am pretty sure my husband and I will not be purchasing any beverage packages the next time we set sail with RCCL. If you noticed the drink menus don't even list the Ketel One and several bartenders told us it will not be restocked. Make me wonder what else will be taken away from the consumers????

Until next time....

*Sorry if you've already mentioned this earlier, but I didn't see it; are you in an aft cabin?

No, we are on deck 6. Standard ocean view balcony cabin. I have some photos I will post later.

Was the lobster tail on the dining room menu the night it was offered in the Windjammer? I'd hate to miss it!

I wish the menus would be posted on the website- how are we supposed to plan what nights to do the specialty restaurants??

Thanks for your review!

No lobster tail in the MDR on the menu last night , unless you want to pay for it. The menu was Saffron. I posted a photo of it

This menu was from the Solarium bar. I stopped in the SchoonerBar to get a photo of the Old Fashioned prices for someone who requested it. Didn't notice different pricing, but I'll check out some of the other bar menus

Glad the photos look good. [emoji4] many more to post, and I just figured out how to get photos off my Sony Nex camera via WiFi. I usually just connect to my iPad with the camera adapter, but forgot it at home. So the bulk of my photos thus far are with my iPhone 7+

Agree the crew on this ship is fantastic. I prefer Tito's myself, but then again my only vodka drink is a Bloody Mary, so I'm not too discriminating. [emoji23]

Yes, that is the difference that I noticed. The Old Fashioned was $14 in the pub and only $12 at the Schooner Bar. I know it will depend on the bartender, but sometimes they will make the $14 drink in a smaller portion or with a differnet liquor and only charge $12.

Will be on this same itinerary on the 26th sailing, this thread has been great to see what to expect. Could you let me know what the crowds around the pools are like on sea days? This will be my first cruise ever and I'm wondering if it will be easy to find chairs on deck throughout the day or if it will be thunderdome. Any recommendations you have for getting chairs on sea days would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I have a tip for you. Book a suite so you can sit in this section, which is never full [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I'm just kidding with you. The main pool deck does fill up early, as does the solarium. As of 10 am, almost every chair is occupied, either by humans or towels, but there are still plenty of open loungers on deck 12. I think the belly flop competition is today, and it's actually a better view of the festivities from there.

Enjoy your first cruise! I will never forget mine...I've been hooked ever since

Looks like we might have to try to reserve some seats with towels early then. Although I don't mind sitting on deck 12, hopefully there's at least chairs available there throughout the day in case we grab lunch and come back to a packed pool.

We fully enjoyed that seating section on Indy. We could wave down to our friends that were hanging the bar below and they teased us right back.:D

Chris, that image uploaded on Tapatalk looks perfect. Did you post it in best size and did you use your iPhone 6/7?

We often leave our chairs to grab a quick breakfast or lunch, and have never had our belongings scooped up by the deck chair police.

People come and go throughout the day. I've honestly never had a hard time finding an open deck chair on deck 12. I often spend the early part of the day in the Solarium, and then move up to deck 12 for some sun later in the afternoon
