Travelling from MIA to Downtown Miami

I would appreciate some advise, thank you.I need a transfer from MIA Airport to a Downtown hotel early Friday evening in a couple of weeks time.

I have never used UBER or LYFT - how easy is it to use from Miami Airport ?

Would it be better to prepay in advance with Supershuttle?

Try the Florida departures board rather than a cruise board .... you'll likely get your answer there

A taxi from MIA to downtown recently was $ 37 and from the port back to MIA $ 27. Less than a mile difference not sure why the fixed rate was not the same. No shortage of cabs at either spot.

Last month we used Uber for the first time, to and from the port and the Miami Amtrak station. It worked well both times and cost less than the regular cabs.

Take a cab or use uber. Either is easy and direct. No need for any shuttles. The train is too much monkeying around and with luggage... a pain. At least for us, ease and service is worth the $$.

We have used supershuttle and taxis with no issues at all. The price is supposed to be a fixed rate.

Take the Metrorail from the airport to downtown for $2....or is it $2.50 now? But only if you can schlep your own luggage. The Peoplemover downtown is free.

not sure if it is still available, but if you download the Uber app on your phone, they gave a 10.00 discount for your first ride. Love Uber!

I just took a cab last week....the driver was not rude at all.

Used uber from the airport to the ship with a stop at a grocery store. From the ship to downtown hotel. To dinner and back. And back to the airport. Couldn't have been easer. Sign up with PayPal or a credit card and everything is automatic and cheaper that taxis.

You can see videos on YouTube how it works. You enter PayPal or credit card info and you will not pay cash. Tipping is included in rate. Altho if our bags are heavy or the driver is helpful with info we add a bit.

LYFT ran us $13.50 ea way from Mia to Dock plus I gave them $5 Tip. Pick us up within 5 min each time

Actually 2.25 Called the Orange line . Get off at either Government station or the Brickell stop.
