Son of a son of a ... Posted February 18, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2017 I don't care for the 6-7-8 atrium design on the Aways. I like a larger area.
MudbugsTherapist Posted February 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2017 I would love to see NCL adopt (steal) some of the things that we all like on other lines. My hubby loves the soda machines on Royal, because it doesn't feel like a bother to the bartenders. I love the outdoor movies on Carnival, especially when they show the Final Four games. There's nothing like being in a comfy chair with a soft blanket, watching the big screen and feeling the breeze. My parents like the elaborate holiday plans on Princess. I think that NCL has wonderful staff, especially on the Gem, but I would hate to see this expansion include so much onboarding of newbies that the service quality goes down. That's one reason why we prefer NCL to Carnival or Royal. The staff.
JAMESCC Posted February 18, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2017 I don't care for the 6-7-8 atrium design on the Aways. I like a larger area. They should ditch the Atrium I agree, they and all cruise lines should have stolen RCCL's Royal Promenade/Esplande idea a long time ago. A central place to meet that can take you to just about anywhere in the ship. Your never lost because of this feature.

MudbugsTherapist Posted February 18, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 18, 2017 Lazy River!! I hope not! I can't imagine the hassle that will be when someone's child poops in the water or someone's drunk friend vomits. And the space that a lazy river would take away from the lounge chair hogs? There would be people reserving chairs before sunrise.
bradleyk Posted February 18, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted February 18, 2017 I hope they keep the Waterfront concept amd create more pool space Sent from my SM-N920R4 using Forums mobile app
kenlyn Posted February 18, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 18, 2017 Lazy River!! I'm with you! They could suspend it around the upper deck so it's out of the way and loop it around the ship. It could be like the water slides and have water easily flushed out if accident occurs. The limited and often complained about pool space would be made much better by spreading out the crowds. I just want to float on a tube not fly down a water slide.:D

kruiserkatie Posted February 18, 2017 #11 Share Posted February 18, 2017 Ooh! I like that idea...how about studio cabin with a balcony in the Haven or classified as a suite with the perks that I love?
FreestyleNovice Posted February 18, 2017 #12 Share Posted February 18, 2017 Studio cabins with balconies. If you're okay with half sized regular balconies for studio's there should be no issue to fit in two studio's in the space of one regular balcony I think? nutley chick Posted February 18, 2017 #13 Share Posted February 18, 2017 Studio cabins with balconies. I have been dying to try to cruise alone. I won't pay the dbl occupancy rate but I must have a balcony. If they offered a studio with balcony I would be the first in line! I believe there is another line that is putting in Studio cabins with balconies on their new ships but I can't remember which line. Perhaps someone can chime in. Two Wheels Only Posted February 18, 2017 #17 Share Posted February 18, 2017 An indoor pool other than Haven or Spa. A West Indian/Caribbean restaurant. A virgin/children's bar. A rotating restaurant with 360 degree views.

Two Wheels Only Posted February 18, 2017 #20 Share Posted February 18, 2017 LOL....that just doesn't sound right. Let them have some fun. zqvol Posted February 18, 2017 #21 Share Posted February 18, 2017 Smaller ships in the 1800 - 2000 passenger category (and those are still too big). I realize that this is not happening on the mass market lines, but you can wish.

Rare Laszlo Posted February 18, 2017 #23 Share Posted February 18, 2017 Get rid of the ropes course, have a small water park for kids and two large pools which can actually handle the crowds of a larger ship
macandlucy Posted February 18, 2017 #24 Share Posted February 18, 2017 Love these ideas. Wholehearted yes to the Waterfront -- it's absolutely wonderful, so please keep that! A lazy river would be awesome. Free style soda machines, fantastic idea and a great way to encourage people to buy the soda package. Enclosed, well ventilated smoking area in the casino -- great idea. My dream list also includes: On board craft brewery Dedicated comedy club Onboard enrichment program -- with port lectures from historians, art historians, naturalists, and a star gazing astronomy class
