Rare MicCanberra Posted March 13, 2017 #152 Share Posted March 13, 2017 Qsine is something I would love to try when I get an opportunity. We have done Wonderland on the Ovation of the Seas, which is a similar type of dining experience but themed and you do not really pick what you get if you want the full experience. Well worth it at least once.
Rare MicCanberra Posted March 13, 2017 #153 Share Posted March 13, 2017 We have a lot of fish farms in the Southern Ocean that breed the Blue fin tuna. this is one of the farms. http://tunaportlincoln.com.au/southern-bluefin-tuna-farming/ On Australia Day (26 January) Port Lincoln put on a Tunarama which has a competition where you have to throw a tuna as far as possible for fame and cash. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oy3MkOf0qX8. I have done it (amatuers use a fake one) and the task is a lot harder than you would think. Hammer throw is the best technique. http://www.tunarama.net/

We hope that Rosie , you and your family had a great cruise and some great snorkeling ! :) :D We have not been on a RCI in a long time and we would value your input to help us with our upcoming cruise on the Harmony of the Seas . Thanks Joe, it was short but very relaxing and the weather was wonderful. 30 degrees with 24 degree water, excellent for snorkelling. No worries about RCI info, just ask away and I will try and answer Cheers Mic.:D
Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted March 13, 2017 Author #156 Share Posted March 13, 2017 I really liked both versions of the aft view picture. The first was far more dramatic, but the second one had a really happy vibe to it for me. I just can't wait for October and our aft cabin on Koningsdam when I'll be enjoying those views off my own balcony. :D I have food allergies. They're a pain when we go out to eat, but I do still enjoy food porn - even of foods I can't eat! I don't get an allergic reaction from food porn so I can enjoy my allergens in pictures! I will say for sure I would have made short work of that plate of bread! Silly question here, but we haven't cruised Celebrity yet - what is in the Silver Bullet? It looks cold, so I'm thinking ice cream of some sort since you said dessert. You got it , and fruit !

Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted March 13, 2017 Author #158 Share Posted March 13, 2017 After dinner at Qsine went went upstairs to change cameras and realized that our dinner had taken 2 hours and that we would have to hustle to the theater to see the show . While there we saw the Celebrity Today which indicated that a Beatles tribute band would be playing on the following evening . When we arrived there at 8:45 it was pretty full and filling fast so we wound up in the nosebleed section , stage right . The show Amade proclaimed itself Reworked Remixed Reimagined . There was an announcement before the show which may have well been in the words of Lennon , " Turn off your mind relax and float downstream " . But that show would be tomorrow , and tomorrow never knows . Thus one of Mozart's most famous compositions Eine kleine Nachtmusik : , begins the show as a drum solo . And soon other singers , dancers , musicians and gymnastic performers join in .

Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted March 13, 2017 Author #160 Share Posted March 13, 2017 The show features some strong and athletic performances as well as great singers and dancers . But we think that the flying while spectacular and the inclusion of songs like Uptown funk and Thriller gave Amade the feeling of a variety show , instead of a tribute to Mozart . Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted March 13, 2017 Author #163 Share Posted March 13, 2017 So Joe, at Epcot on Friday I kept taking pictures with the SeaLife that seemed more than a bit fuzzy. I deleted a lot of them right away I just couldn't figure out what the problem was..... I'll bet you already know! :D I took a closer look at the camera today while I was downloading the surviving pictures and.... Did you guess I was in UNDERWATER MODE? I had absolutely no idea that I was in underwater mode. I do know that underwater mode doesn't work very well for land pictures! I guess that is why it is so important to play with a new camera at home first, before I take it on vacation. Lesson learned! I also have some lovely videos of the ground when I didn't realize I was shooting video! I figured that one out right away though, unlike the underwater mode thing. I've done the same thing many times ! ;) A bigger issue would be flooding the camera underwater ! I forgot to send a spare O ring and moisture munchers . Before diving make sure that the O ring is good and include a blue mm in the housing . The one in the photo should ( blue arrow ) should be changed . The O ring in the picture is red but you need the black one . I will send it and the munchers out tomorrow . I like to practice with the camera in the housing before diving so that I'm comfortable with it underwater .

Rare perfect match Posted March 14, 2017 #168 Share Posted March 14, 2017 A Brevard County Marine Sheriff's Unit at the risk of their own lives , saved 2 Jet Skiers from a near tragedy Saturday . The ski had flipped and they were in the path of the departing Carnival Cruise ship Magic when the heroes took action . Well done , you deserve national headlines and our debt of gratitude !!! Video here : That really was an amazing rescue! It has had a lot of media coverage here in Central Fl, and I have seen it on national coverage as well. I can't help but wonder what those jet skiers were thinking, though. Did they really think that riding their jet ski close to an oncoming cruise ship was a good idea? I've done the same thing many times ! ;) A bigger issue would be flooding the camera underwater ! I forgot to send a spare O ring and moisture munchers . Before diving make sure that the O ring is good and include a blue mm in the housing . I like to practice with the camera in the housing before diving so that I'm comfortable with it underwater . Joe, I did get some moisture munchers when I ordered my battery charger and spare battery. I know they change color when they are used up, but how long does one normally last? Also, what is the difference between the red O ring and the black one? I haven't advanced to the phase in my camera training where the camera goes into the housing yet! It is part of my training plan, though, along with some pool work before I take it diving. Hopefully by that time I will know if I'm on underwater mode or land mode! :o
Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted March 14, 2017 Author #169 Share Posted March 14, 2017 My favorite performance of the Mozart show was the famous Rondo Alla Turca as played by this young man . Here's a video version of the composition : As they began lowering some strings on stage there was movement in our row as people began leaving . And with the performers on stage holding them I had hoped that they would launch into Bye, Bye , Bye , by NSYNC , the video that our daughters so loved when they were girls : Now that video was entertaining ! Like those at end of the row, we also decided to leave and as we excused ourselves to our neighbors she remarked " we're right behind you " . And so while all of the performers on the stage did a great job we felt like the material was not as strong as it could be . The performers on the stage should have better material to showcase their talents to the audience and themselves, perhaps like Euphoria .

We're glad that you enjoyed it ! I think that entertainment is like food in that respect - people have different tastes . I like spicy , but Pat doesn't . I found a highlight video of it which didn't include Rondo Alla Turca and if anybody would care to see the show , here it is :

Because we still didn't know what our benefits were she asked for a copy of them and they gave her one of the old coupon sheets .
