take us away Posted March 12, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 12, 2017 Have heard of crew in the brig but the closest I have seen for passengers was 'cabin arrest' complete with a guard because they would not stay in their cabin as ordered. They were awful and throwing stuff overboard including deck chairs and they were put off at the next port, which was Aruba.
johno1234 Posted March 12, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 12, 2017 On Pride of America I was chatting with security and asked if there was a brig and could it be viewed on a ship tour. Answers: yes and no.
obriendan Posted March 12, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 12, 2017 I've heard that there is a "naughty room" for those who try to sneak alcholic beverages aboard in there checked luggage:). Dan
Tinknock50 Posted March 12, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 12, 2017 I've heard that there is a "naughty room" for those who try to sneak alcholic beverages aboard in there checked luggage:). Dan ....and they are beaten with beer bottles!
johno1234 Posted March 12, 2017 #10 Share Posted March 12, 2017 Heh, I'm afraid not. All they do is confiscate the grog, but you can get it back at the end of the cruise anyway, so not much disincentive to give it a try, is there?
Rare kazu Posted March 13, 2017 #11 Share Posted March 13, 2017 Never been in the brig and no intentions to ever to do so (unless it is a tour;) ). Indeed as stated there are some bottled beers. Depending on your itinerary, they may even bring some local ones on board ;). It's happend a few times on our cruises. But they go fast - so don't wait. Lovely other Posted March 13, 2017 #14 Share Posted March 13, 2017 Not seen the brig or know of anyone who has , but there was a guy on cabin arrest on the inaugural Koningsdam sailing after an incident concerning the 'bar crawl' ... Not a pleasant situation and I doubt his wife was happy
