Jamman54:...In regards to MDR seating, we had also a booth and ours was #191 on the January 22nd Pride cruise. I also mailed Ken ahead of time. Originally I asked for a 4 seater near a window. Never expected to hear back but he did within a couple of hours and suggested that I allow him to "take care of us" and not sit near a window as I had requested for various reasons. Told him fine and we were more than satisfied with his choice. He certainly did take care of us!!! It was so much better and right in the middle of all the action!!! What a great dining experience every evening with Ken and his team!!! They make it so enjoyable and it was the best we have ever had in 13 or 14 Carnival cruises and 6 Royal Caribbean.

Afterwards, Patti went to the 2pm Bingo session, while I went back to the cabin to rest before our next event. We got two plates of these chocolate covered strawberries and treats. They looked like rejects from the Coffee Bar, but of course we ate some of them! Lol.

At 3:30pm we met in the Mermaids Grille near the Pizza Pirate for our first session of LCR. We will be getting together every sea day. Today we have a pretty big turnout…..

We were not the winners today. We made our way to the deli for a sandwich. Patti then went back to the cabin, while I went to the casino to play blackjack. I didn’t do so well today. No problem, we have a long way to go!

Tonight is our first Cruise Elegant Night. Here is our table set up, and tonight’s American Feast Menu…..

Thanks for the reminder to put my LRC dice on my checklist!! Love that game.

Patti has decided to skip breakfast today. Instead she will gather up some of our dirty clothes and send them out to be washed. I head over to the Blue Iguana Cantina and get myself a breakfast burrito, then head over to the Red Frog Rum Bar to eat it. Nothing like a burrito and Thirsty Frog Red for breakfast in the morning!!!

It is going to be a busy day in Cozumel today. In addition to the Carnival Pride, Carnival Fantasy, and Norwegian Jade being in port today, the Brilliance of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas, and the Norwegian Dawn will also be joining us. Passengers from the Pride have already begun heading ashore…..

We have an all-inclusive package at Mr. Sancho’s booked for today. We knew that there would be six ships in port today, so we booked ahead of time on Mr. Sancho’s website. They limit the amount of all-inclusive guests, so we didn’t want to be shut out. Patti and I leave the ship…..

Email the maitre'd of your ship a week or so before your cruise. You may or may not get a reply, but most likely your request will be honored. Be sure to give him/her your sailing date, whether you are early or late seating, and all of your booking numbers. (You can have your PVP link these all together). If you have Anytime dining, you can't request a table ahead of time. The email address is XXmaitred@carnival dot com. Substitute the X's with the two letter ship code from the list below.

Hey Jeff!

I am a fellow NJer (Bergen County) and Cruise addict. We booked a last minute cruise on the Pride and heading out next week. I have loved getting to read all of your Pride reviews. I know your are Diamond, but do you know if they enforce the check-in times in Baltimore? We are cursing for the first time with my 16 month old daughter, and wanted to get in and onboard as soon as possible. We are trying to plan out the drive down in the AM and you can almost set your watch to her eating schedule. We were too late for FTTF and 2 cruises short of Platinum (This is our 10th Cruise though!) Would you know the earliest time they will allow you to choose for Pride Check-In?

Hey Fellow NJer, I'm from Ocean County. They did today, nobody was allowed in the terminal until 12:30. I belong to a group that a port employee runs. I don't cruise until May 27 but will keep my eye on this. I like to be the early bird too, this would be weird not leaving the house til after 9am.

Don't know where you are from, but we are in Ridgewood, Bergen County, NJ, US of A!

That’s me with our new friends Krusin Kris and Ken, along with my favorite bartender Winston…..

IMG_0762-XL.jpg

Winston!!! He was one of our three favorites at Carnival Liberty's Red Frog Rum bar on our Liberty cruise from September 2015 out of San Juan. So glad to see that he is still with Carnival! I happened to see our cabin steward, Kenrick, from the same Liberty cruise in Wrigly80's Vista inaugural cruise review. This is only the 2nd time I have recognized someone in a review. So glad that you also enjoyed Winston as well.

Oh wow! I would be ok with no one getting in, but just curious if I could get in earlier then my time, if that makes sense. Would you be able to PM me the group info?

Lots of fellow Jersey peeps on this thread. I am also from Ocean County. We usually sail out of Miami though. Never have done Baltimore.
