Oh wow! I would be ok with no one getting in, but just curious if I could get in earlier then my time, if that makes sense. Would you be able to PM me the group info?

I can't pm you, i did a friend request; I don't know if that will let me do it or not, put if you search pride on social media it will come up.

Lots of fellow Jersey peeps on this thread. I am also from Ocean County. We usually sail out of Miami though. Never have done Baltimore.

You're not far at all from me, I'm in Whiting, like 20 minutes away. Baltimore is easy in and out. Did both Grandeur and Pride out of there and doing Pride in May.

Hey Jeff!

I am a fellow NJer (Bergen County) and Cruise addict. We booked a last minute cruise on the Pride and heading out next week. I have loved getting to read all of your Pride reviews. I know your are Diamond, but do you know if they enforce the check-in times in Baltimore? We are cursing for the first time with my 16 month old daughter, and wanted to get in and onboard as soon as possible. We are trying to plan out the drive down in the AM and you can almost set your watch to her eating schedule. We were too late for FTTF and 2 cruises short of Platinum (This is our 10th Cruise though!) Would you know the earliest time they will allow you to choose for Pride Check-In?

Hi Mike! You choose your check in time when you do our online check in. They will not let you in the door before your appointed time. I'm sure at this late date all the earliest check in times have probably been taken. :( Sorry about that. You will get on eventually, so enjoy your cruise on the Pride!

Thank you so much for another wonderful review!

Thanks for reading!!!

Hi Jeff! Loving your Pride review. I've never cruised on the Pride but she looks like a lovely ship. Do all Carnival ships have chapels? The one on the Pride is lovely. One day - probably many years from now when we get the last of our 6 children raised I would love to do a 14 day cruise! As of now I am living vicariously through yours and Patti's. Thank you for taking the time and going through so much effort to give all of us such a wonderful review. ONE DAY!!!

Jamman54, I love your review, keep it coming. The pride is our favorite ship. It's the perfect size to get familiar with the staff and venues. We are booked on her in May for our 4th or 5th time on her.

I love your pictures, out of curiosity, what kind of camera did you use?

Thank you...

Winston!!! He was one of our three favorites at Carnival Liberty's Red Frog Rum bar on our Liberty cruise from September 2015 out of San Juan. So glad to see that he is still with Carnival! I happened to see our cabin steward, Kenrick, from the same Liberty cruise in Wrigly80's Vista inaugural cruise review. This is only the 2nd time I have recognized someone in a review. So glad that you also enjoyed Winston as well.

Winston is great isn't he? He has been with Carnival for 28 years. :)

Thanks for reading! I believe that only the Spirit Class ships have the chapel. We are happy to do these reviews. Thanks for the kind words! :)

Sorry for quoting the whole post y'all, probably annoying to some.

Looks like you guys had fun on the Pride Jamman, great review as always. We are going out of Baltimore at the end of May. The casino theme looks really cool, did you enjoy it? I have a few casino based questions that are germane to the Pride. How were the blackjack conditions? Any non-continuous shuffle games other than the double exposure? What were limits on double exposure? No double deck games I'm assuming:(.

Also what was the "Hi-Lo" mentioned in the casino announcement? The only thing I can think it would be is a poker variant but I noticed it wasn't co-promoted in the fun times so unsure if that was actually the case. No spoilers but hope you two hit them big!

Hey Steve! Thanks for following along again! We always enjoy the casino on the Pride. We finished the cruise a little bit down. All regular Blackjack games were continuous shuffle. I don't play the variation games so I can't tell you anything about them. They only opened $6 & $10 blackjack tables. Play during this cruise was very light. Never saw a $15 or $25 table the whole cruise, and I never requested one, because every time I played alone against the dealer I got killed. Had problems winning a hand with 20! Also all tables only paid 6 to 5 for a blackjack.

As for Hi-Lo, we were not in the casino the nights they had this, so again I can't tell you what that was about.

Enjoy your upcoming cruise on the Pride! :)

Thanks for getting back to me! Too bad you finished a little down but I guess it beats finishing a lot down:') I know what you mean on playing heads up, I don't think I'll be playing too much though if they only have 6/5 blackjack. Thanks again for the great review and tell the Mrs. that my Mrs. is jealous of her photog skills!

Thank you for that information!! Have you ever purchased? If so do you recommend any wines that are not dry but more sweet wines? I am not familiar with some of these, I do however like the Moscato.

Jamman, did you two like the Delta Comfort section? Hubby & me will be in the row just behind First Class when we fly down to Miami later this year.

I am not Jamman54 by an means, but I have flown Delta Comfort from Charleston, SC to Ft. Lauderdale. Our seats had more leg room, and we had free drinks of choice, this did include alcoholic beverages if you like. I would purchase Delta Comfort again.

Have a great cruise.

When I last left you, we had just arrived at Mr. Sancho’s. We picked a nice thatch covered table for eating, and placed two loungers under a palm tree for lounging. Here we are enjoying our first drinks of the day…..

I want to introduce you to our new best friend Jesus, (pronounced Hey-Seuss).

IMG_1030-XL.jpg

This man took excellent care of us all day. Anytime we wanted anything to drink or eat he was there. Of course, we took really good care of him at the end of the day. So much so, that when we told him we might be back in October, he said to make sure that we requested him. So I guess you can say that yes, Jesus loves me, and Patti too!! Lol.

To be continued…..
