Not to hijack the thread but my wife is interested in purchasing smoked salmon, not the canned jerky type (although I plan on buying some of those tins) but the frozen ones on our September cruise and having it shipped home. The only issue is that we disembark on 9/9 and we are spending a few days after in Seattle. Would there be any issues? Or should we plan on a neighbor accepting the package?

I have bought on various trips over the years, t-shirts, soap, coffee mugs, locally made jewelry, and art prints to frame at home (Scanlon arts in Ketchikan is great), and last trip I bought dh a collector's knife from a local maker in Ketchikan with a fossilized handle as a surprise birthday gift I had shipped home.

Totally off topic, I'm noticing people using the abbreviation my "DW" on so many threads, what on earth does this stand for?

Thanks, so lost!!
