Guarantee Suite - always a Junior Suite?

Been helping a friend choose their next 14 day cruise at the end of July and they have nabbed a very good price on Indy for a suite guarantee for only £210 more than a guarantee balcony.

 

There are only JS suites showing as still available from all the suite options. 14 weeks out, is it a definite a JS is the best they will get or could higher suite cancellations throw up an ever better deal for them?

 

They asked me so I thought I would see what others experiences/thoughts were. Thanks in advance.

Odds are that it will be a JS (way better than a balcony IMO), but there is a remote possibility of something better.

We've done 3 "W" suite guarantees, and received 2 JS and 1 GS.

Most times, a JS is what you get...but not always! So, keep your fingers crossed, but don't hold your breath!

We've just done this for 14th July and got a JS but for about the same price as our balcony was costing so happy days!

Maybe the high prices for suites is causing a lower initial booking.

I agree with Bob. Just a few years ago I was paying up to $2,500 Canadian for a grand suite, these days grand suites are listed at $3,500 Canadian.

I think the perks for the JS are a joke given the increase in cost.
