dis2cruise Posted April 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2017 it's cheaper by $100 which one would you pick and why... Sorry first time on celebrity cruise line.
Toronto Guy Posted April 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2017 it's cheaper by $100 which one would you pick and why... Sorry first time on celebrity cruise line. Take Aqua at that price so you can dine in Blu and have free access to Persian Spa. A few other perks that we prefer as well but those are the two biggest reasons. Guindalf Posted April 25, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 25, 2017 At $100 more, I agree, go for Aqua! It's almost $400 more on our sailing, so we're sticking with Concierge!
Rare 4cats4me Posted April 25, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2017 OMG, definitely the Aqua. Wayyy better. You get your own little private dining venue, and it is very good. Also, you get use if the spa for free, the heated mosaic chairs and special sauna and showers Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Rare cruisestitch Posted April 25, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 25, 2017 Is that $100 per day? Or $100 for the whole cruise?
villauk Posted April 25, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 25, 2017 It can be cheaper for various reasons, including the Aqua is a GTY and X are wanting to 'off load' some of these as they have too many left in the inventory. It's all controlled by supply and demand, so if X have more Aqua cabins left than Concierge, in other words they are not selling as well, then they will reduce the prices accordingly. On M class ships, Aqua are often priced less than the C1 Concierge aft cabins (more desirable location with the larger balconies). Take the Aqua and give it a try if the location is to your liking. IrishKevinCan Posted April 25, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 25, 2017 Definitely Aqua. Dining at Blu is completely worth it alone. Access to Persian Garden is also nice. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
renaroo Posted April 25, 2017 #8 Share Posted April 25, 2017 If aqua is cheaper than concierge, I book it fast. Aqua is almost always higher priced! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
wallie5446 Posted April 25, 2017 #9 Share Posted April 25, 2017 The cabins will be identical in size, deck location will be the only difference. As others mentioned, the assigned dining venue will be the main difference in the 2 categories.
Videophile Posted April 25, 2017 #10 Share Posted April 25, 2017 Aqua. Definitely.
Rare ghstudio Posted April 25, 2017 #11 Share Posted April 25, 2017 While I agree that aqua is certainly worth $100, it's important to look at cabin location. Many of the aqua cabins are directly under the pool deck and if pool stewards or other passengers move their chairs...or someone rolls a heavy cart on the pool deck, you can/will hear it in your cabin. Concierge cabins are generally between passenger cabin decks. If you are going to select aqua, make sure you look at what's above your cabin. Note: while we really enjoy Blu, we often book 1A cabins on the S-class ships for the larger balconies and cabin locations.
Britpamtany1205 Posted April 27, 2017 #12 Share Posted April 27, 2017 I second ghstudio's sentiment.....unless we can get an aqua cabin towards the front of the ship, just behind the gym and no over hang from above, or aft below the sky suites (S class) we stick with concierge cabin to avoid noise from pool deck above. Sean McKay Posted April 27, 2017 #13 Share Posted April 27, 2017 I've been under the pool deck many times in Aqua A1 cabins and have never really had an issue. I am a good sleeper but my wife is not and has never been woken up by chairs or anything else on the deck
Rare Miaminice Posted April 27, 2017 #14 Share Posted April 27, 2017 AQUA! In a heartbeat! All of our Celebrity cruises were in AQ until now and we LOVE it because of Blu. However, on our next three cruises already booked the price for AQ was ridiculously higher than a regular Veranda - almost 800$/person for 10 nights. As much as we love Blu and AQ, we are not willing to pay that much more. We can go to a specialty restaurant every night for less. CC does not offer perks attractive to us. We only booked it on one future cruise because it gave us one more perk and was only 100$ more. Otherwise Veranda or AQ.
