We are travelling in a few weeks on Allure and would tonknow if anyone has ever done a bar hopping activity. I would to get an idea what isnthe mapping and how long we should plan for that. I appreciate any input

Have a great one !

I've never seen one organized by RCI but I would like to participate next time if there was. I would think if RCI put it on it would be hard to control. There might be too many at first if the whole ship is invited. I have seen them from meet and mingle groups though.

They are not a ship scheduled activity. Roll Calls may schedule one on their own time.

Getting to hit all of them would involve mid to late afternoon start times as several do not start serving until like 3. All it would take is some time to read deck plans to decide the route

A few cruises ago, I had a fabulous roll call for the Allure and one of the members created a list of all the bars on board - While it was not a bar crawl per se, it was a list that we all tried our best to conquer and whoever at the end of the week had the most stops won, I think a t-shirt.

Suggestion would be to compile a new list, (the list I just found still had the Crown and Anchor lounge on top deck) and start from deck 17 and work your way down. While you might not start on Deck 17, you can work your way around that list for the cruise.

I know I plan on making a new list for my upcoming Harmony cruise.

Happy Sailing!!

Doesn't seem like it should be complicated, start at the top or bottom of the ship and work your way up or down deck by deck. Then fall down:p

Yes, much better to start at the top. So when falling you are already at or near the bottom... :D

Our Roll Call did it on Oasis in 2010. We just started on the bottom and worked our way to the top. We all wore crazy hats and Hawaiian shirts, it was actually quite funny. People thought we were part of the ships entertainment. There were about 60 of us at the beginning but only about 15 left at the end.

DH are planning to try this on our sailing next week. We will not be doing it all in one day, just planning to try to get at least one drink at every bar throughout the week with a rule of trying something new as often as possible. We put this list as a note on our iphones and will mark them off as we go. I did not include anything requiring special access (ie Diamond or Suite Lounges) as we will not have access. I also included places like the aquatheatre that does not have a bar but you can still order a drink if you are there for a show. If I missed any, please let me know!

I promise not to fall down !! Don't want to hurt anyone. If I do. I hope someone will take a video to remember !!!

years ago Princess Cruises offered a pub crawl on the Caribbean Princess. You got a card from a particular bar and then went to about 13 different bars and got it "stamped". Once you were done you returned to the first bar where you got a "prize". In my case it was cheap coozie that a local beer distributor would give out to local dive bars as a cheap promotion. The bartender on the Princess cruise was actually embarrassed about the prize,

Having said that, I think some of your entries are ambitious. i.e. having a drink in each of the MDRs. I think your target should be places that have an actual bar or something close.

I would count most of the outside bars on decks 16/17 as separate bars, but you will need to do them strategically, as their open times are somewhat haphazard throughout the week. Knock them off early.

Also make sure you have reservations for Comedy LIve

I have the MDR listed because if the Allure is the same as the Oasis there is a walk-up bar outside the entrance of each floor of the MDR (after checkin but before you enter the dining room). We may skip these ones, not sure yet :)
