ccndfw Posted May 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2017 Does the Emerald have on-demand movies available in the room similar to the Royal? Does anyone know what movies are currently on board?
Aus Traveller Posted May 7, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2017 The Emerald didn't have that system last November and I am not aware that there has been a major up-grade since then.
easyboy Posted May 7, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 7, 2017 We didn't have it either on our cruise.
fishywood Posted May 7, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 7, 2017 After Royal and Regal were launched Princess promised to add the on-demand to the rest of the fleet. But has only done so to three ships in the Pacific Rim (Diamond, Sapphire and Sun). There is a persistent rumor that as the Ocean Medallion is added ship by ship those ships will have on-demand programming as well. I have filed that under "I'll believe it when I see it". So question number one is a no. As for question number two you can expect some of the prominent Oscar-nominated movies to be playing on MUTS or in the Princess Theater (as I have seen on every late-Spring cruise); a couple random Patters posted have listed both La La Land and Lion. ccndfw Posted May 7, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted May 7, 2017 Thank you everyone for the quick responses. Very helpful... too bad on demand isn't yet available as we really enjoyed that on the Royal.

sewgood Posted May 7, 2017 #8 Share Posted May 7, 2017 We were on the Emerald in April this year and no on demand movies or a printed guide as to when the movies would be shown.
JF - retired RRT Posted May 7, 2017 #9 Share Posted May 7, 2017 so I guess I will have to fill my ipad with movies for kids to watch. No biggie. We are on Emerald in July No need. There are lots of kid's choices. From what I've seen the kid's movies are the same on all the ships pretty much all the time. We've done 22 cruises in the last 4 years and haven't noticed any changes.
