A completely naked man on GSC who acted completely at ease! [emoji849]

The same man wore a fake mustache the entire week! [emoji15]

Is he’s wearing a fake mustache, is he really completely naked? Maybe it’s a loophole.

  • 5 months later...

I was on Allure of the Seas and in the elevator and it went up to the buffet and a lady got on with several plates absolutely laden with food. It was apparent she had been to several dining venues on the ship as she had a half dozen donuts, pizza and then bacon, sausage, ham, pancakes, eggs, sweet rolls, you name it - all balanced on 4 plates she was holding. It looked to be food for about 4 people at least and I said, "Wow, you all are hungry!" and she said "Oh, it's for my 16 year old son, he's not out of bed yet."

Many years ago on an NCL ship we were seated at a table with about 6 other people. The woman next to me took about 4 buns and ate a few bites from each one of them and then started piling the rest on my bread plate. I told her to keep her bread on her own plate! We made sure never to be placed at her table again.

My parents were scheduled to cruise on the Costa Concordia before it wrecked off of Italy in 2012. My sister went on an alaskan cruise the week before the husband murdered the wife. I am now about to embark on a cruise in three weeks...

I'm just off the Spirit! (Came home yesterday) myself, hubby and our 4 year old daughter were all on our 1st ever cruise.

My daughter has long red hair. Not strawberry blonde, but full on ginger. It's gorgeous if I do say so myself lol. She gets a lot of positive attention because of her hair and this cruise was no different.

What was weird was that I was asked if it was natural?! Did I dye my daughter's hair. Asked not just once, but SIX TIMES by staff on board.

I get that red headed blue eyed children are rare in the UK, even more so in the states, and unheard of in asian countries.

But 'do I dye my 4 year olds hair?' Seemed a little odd lol

My daughter had (still has as an adult!) really curly hair, like ringlets, the kind that "boing" when you pull them. Wherever I would take her when she was like, two, people would ask if that was a perm. !! Like I would perm a two year old's hair!! So I get it! People are weird.

Some strange old guy on the Gem who would dress up in a different, unique "outfit" every night. From an African getup one night, to Marine Corps dress blues the next.. very strange stuff. I heard other passengers saying he was a regular on the Gem, not a Vet, and was known as being a tad strange.

On the Jade Transatlantic this September were two elderly "gentlemen" who paraded around the ship

dressed in "Baby Doll" outfits. New outfit every night. Turned a few heads especially when they

joined in the Men versus Women quiz in the Spinnaker helping out the woman team much to

the consternation of the host.

I have been reading this entire thread for an hour now, assuming someone would eventually post about them! I cruised with them around April 2013, I think it was the Gem or the Jewel. I was with my mom and Grandfather, who got a big kick out of talking to them one afternoon.

Has anyone else paid attention to the sound made when you scan your key to get on or off the ship? It sounds a lot like a cash register. My husband and I get a laugh every time we hear it.

My DW says it reminds her of an old fashion bike bell.

Heard story of a couple who had a suite. He was in a wheelchair and unable to speak. Early in the week, he falls in shower, and they file complaint, seeking damages. A couple days later, adjacent guest complains about loud, obscene arguments occurring next door every night. Hotel director and security chief makes recording, then visits couple and asks who the loud man was. Couple denies any additional guests have been in the room. When they play the tape, the wheelchair bound victim starts swearing up a storm.

Apparently, the couple loved to cruise, and had used the ploy on numerous other cruise lines to get refunds, comps, and discounts on future cruises. NCL put a stop to all future trips.

I was on a cruise out of Miami and a pelican hitched a ride sitting by the Topsiders Bar. This concerned me because we were 2 days from land and I was wondering what he/she would eat or drink. Apparently it was OK and someone told me it got off at the first port stop. Felt a little bad as I don't know if they have pelicans where we stopped.

We just returned from the May 12 Boston to Bermuda sailing on the Dawn. We were fortunate enough to stay in the Garden Villa. You have a full set of floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pool. Nearly every night there was a different couple "enjoying" the Hot Tub in the wee hours of the morning. They would all look around and see an empty deck and assume that no one could see them. You know what happens when you assume something...

OMG! We're in the GV in a couple of weeks! Too bad I'll either be in the casino or asleep late at night!

I was eating breakfast on the Breakaway when a man at a nearby table flipped his toupee off his head to show the waiter that he wasn't as young as he looked. (He didn't actually look that young). I almost dropped my coffee cup!

Wow.. in the states it’s referred to as ‘stolen valor’ and can land you 6 mos in the clink (jail)

Ewww. I don't even like to sit on that thing fully dressed. I've noticed it's a different one now and they put it back on every morning after they make the bed. Even if I heave it in the closet or hide it under the bed.

He'd find it. Drape it across the foot. I hope they use fresh ones for each week.

It's not the old 'put your luggage here' fabric thing either. Which was even worse. I get it. They don't want you to wreck (?) the pure white comforter. But that thing is gross. [emoji40]

Did you ever see a clean stack of these folded on the room steward cart? There is your answer... ewww is right... as soon as me and dw arrive in our hotel room the comforter is the first to go on the floor and stay there... and we never sit on the couch/ Clair in the room we also bring Clorox wipes for the remote control for the tv... think about it... it’s the filthiest thing in the room... we do however drink straight from the cloudy drinking glasses left out in the bathroom lol

While on a Boston to Bermuda cruise on the Dawn a while back, I had an interesting, if not flattering, encounter.

As per usual, DW returns to our cabin after dinner while I go to the cigar room for cigar, drink and conversation.

The first night there was a very nicely dressed woman about my age (70). We struck up a conversation while she chain smoked Marlboros and sipped on several glasses of wine. Her husband made an appearance early on in the evening then disappeared.

I learned more than I really needed to know about her. This was her second husband. Yada Yada Yada. Somewhere along the line she threw out that she had a couple of bottles of really good port in her stateroom.

I let that fly over my head. She had a habit of reaching out and touching my knee when making a point.

When I returned to my cabin, I told my wife that I had just met someone who wanted me to be her third husband.

Fast forward to the last night of the cruise. Same location. She was there again. She said she had seen me in the spa alone. I told her that my wife and I always went together. She also said she had seen me eating lunch alone in Cagney's. I replied that my wife had probably gone the cabin to changer clothes.

And then she gave out the line that I'll not forget: "You see, I've been keeping my eye on you".

The strangest thing I’ve seen actually happen this year on my 20th cruise.

On the first sea day The sun was shining and I was sunning at the very aft of the ship around the pool.

It had two hot tub‘s.

There was a gal in one of the hot tub‘s that was extremely drunk and coming on to any and all the men to the point that when their wives would approach they were terrified of what to do, although it was not their fault.

The drunk girl then proceeds to go to the second hot tub full of ladiesstarted coming on to them.

Then she proceeds to take off the top of her bikini and slings it over the railing… It gets better… You guessed it she then proceeded to take off the bottom of her bikini.

She then gets out of the hot tub and sachets over to the bar area fully nude.

No not a Brazilian cut more like one of those hairless cats!

The bartenders and crew just stood there like deer in the headlights and stared. Of course everybody was whipping out their cell phones. She finally wrapped a towel around her self and left.

She had a large tattoo of a pair scissors down the side of her body so was nicknamed scissor girl.

No one saw her,at least in that area the ship for the remainder of the week.

We figured she sobered up And realized what a spectacle she made out of her self.

We were out walking on the pool deck one night and we witnessed quite a sight. On the deck above a couple was having sex and although we couldn’t see them because of the solid railing they were casting a full shadow/silhouette on the wall above them. I’m sure they didn’t realize there was a small light below that illuminated everything. It was on a very public deck but I’m pretty sure they thought they were doing the deed in private. It was almost like a movie projected on the wall.
