obsessedsc Posted May 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2017 Every so often I do an Instagram search for #harmonyoftheseas and I keep seeing these really pretty drinks in pineapples by the pool. On previous cruises we have gone on they have had limited availability. Is that still the case? When and where can you find them on a Harmony cruise?! Thanks! Clarea Posted May 13, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2017 I've not been on Harmony, but I see them on the pool deck on other ships. Note that they have not been included in the drink package in our experience.
Robo1098 Posted May 13, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2017 They were readily available on Harmony this past November. Can't remember the price but they weren't cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
kknorr0320 Posted May 13, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 13, 2017 This is marketing at it's best. Don't get me wrong, I've bought them, but they buy fresh pineapple, core it, throw a drink in it and charge a premium. Then they can serve the pineapple at the buffet. It's genius. BettyCruiser Posted May 13, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 13, 2017 On the Harmony every sea day for sure, maybe everyday, they set up a table between the beach pool and the solarium. I didn't buy one so I don't know how much they are.

Artemus Posted May 13, 2017 #7 Share Posted May 13, 2017 How about a discount using the drink package?
cb at sea Posted May 14, 2017 #8 Share Posted May 14, 2017 They are "specialty" drinks and are not included in the package, nor are they "discounted". You want one, you will pay the going price. You can get the same thing in a glass.
Clarea Posted May 14, 2017 #9 Share Posted May 14, 2017 How about a discount using the drink package? We were asked to pay full price, however this is the kind of thing that can vary ship to ship.

You can get the same thing in a glass. That's true. But people do it at Disney parks all the time; paying extra high premiums for basic soda drinks in special cups with fun straws and stuff. It's not really about the drink, it's more about the idea attached to it (fun tropical vacation drink in the sun). Probably also has a lot to do with the pictures one can take and share of it too. I wouldn't buy one, but I get why people do. It's fun. It's vacation. It looks cool, and it gets you drunk, lol. Buckscuffle Posted May 14, 2017 #12 Share Posted May 14, 2017 It was actually really good! Had one on Freedom in November. I believe it was somewhere between $8-$10. It was super sweet though! Sent from my SM-N920V using Forums mobile app
pharaoh Posted May 14, 2017 #13 Share Posted May 14, 2017 I was searching EVERYWHERE for one on my last couple of cruises. Allure November 2015 it was nowhere to be found and I was bummed. Allure May 2016, I saw a few people walking around the pool deck with them but I never found the stand where they were sold. Finally I got my hands on one at the 70s party in the promenade. When you see 'em, you have to run and grab it! Ahahaha. It was delicious and so fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rare Cayman Turtle Posted May 15, 2017 #15 Share Posted May 15, 2017 They were on the pool deck of Freedom when we were there a few weeks ago. I believe they were $14.95. Never bought one, taking into consideration the US exchange rate would put it over $20 for me.

Rala Posted May 16, 2017 #20 Share Posted May 16, 2017 Try a vodka and pineapple juice and drink it with a straw with your eyes closed. Not so pretty, but tastes good!!!:D;p
