cruisinfromtampa Posted June 10, 2017 Author #54 Share Posted June 10, 2017 The evening of Day 5 we went to the Mystery Dinner, "Ba Da Bing, Ana Da Boom". It was held in Giovanni's. It came with a Prix Fixe menu, and bottomless wine...and when I say bottomless wine, I mean from the time wine first hit my glass until I stood up from the table at the end of the three hours, my glass was never empty. I definitely got my money's worth in the wine alone. A few bites before the meal. My appetizer, the carpaccio. My entree, gnocchi. It was quite good. My husband had the filet, and it was delicious. Dessert, tiramisu. Overall, the dinner was well worth the money. We had a great time, the food was delicious, the wine flowed non stop, and the show was fun. The Singers and Dancers did a great job. Highly recommend! Sent from my iPhone using Forums

cruisinfromtampa Posted June 10, 2017 Author #57 Share Posted June 10, 2017 The giovannis bada bing looked like fun! Did you book in advance of cruise or onboard? What was the charge? We booked on board and paid $79 pp. a couple from our table in the MDR booked pre cruise and, I believe, paid closer to $50 pp. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Cruise a holic Posted June 10, 2017 #58 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Thank you for the information. The event isn't listed for our cruise as it is over a year away.
Mim Lloyd Posted June 10, 2017 #59 Share Posted June 10, 2017 I'm just off the Adventure. My wife drinks prosseco and the extra charge was just $1.00. ($13.00 TTL). Thanks. This question was raised on another thread for the AOS and someone said they were never charged any extra! RIC are so inconsistent. Ah well, I'll expect to pay an extra $1 per drink and be happy if I've not charged!
cruisinfromtampa Posted June 10, 2017 Author #60 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Day 6: Barbados Unfortunately, Barbados was a bust. We were booked to do the Submarine and Island Tour excursion. They cancelled the submarine portion, and waited until after the land tour to inform us. The entire bus was extremely unhappy, as the submarine was the reason for booking. While the land tour had a fair amount of information, we only had one stop. It was extremely disappointing. I guess it means another cruise that includes Barbados is in the cards. cruisinfromtampa Posted June 10, 2017 Author #61 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Day 7: At Sea Our only Sea Day was one met with anticipation. We were taking the All Access Tour Behind the Scenes. We have been looking forward to the tour since we booked, and it did not disappoint. We visited the MDR, the Galley, Environmental Waste Management, Bridge, and Engine Control Room. I took a fair number of pictures, and will post them below. If you have specific questions about the things we saw, I'll do my best to answer them. Taishartrueblood Posted June 10, 2017 #67 Share Posted June 10, 2017 So they canceled a large portion of it without telling you? Did they make it up to you in some way, at least with a longer land tour?
