I just realized that Splendor is coming back to California, so I *quick* booked a Spa Balcony on her for Spring Break :D I am looking at the deck plans and can't tell what is on the Deck 10 part of the Lido Restaurant these days. Does anyone know? Also, what other changes are there since she was last in California? TIA!

Aft Lido. Before the aft pool. That pool is no longer adult only.

We're just a pit stop. She's transferring to P&O in Asia in a year or so.

Biggest problem will be parking. Splendor holds 1,000 more pax than the Miracle. Last time she was here, we only had one other ship in Long Beach. The parking structure will be a major PITA. They're supposed to be building a new parking structure. As of May, it hadn't begun construction.

On the positive side, Carnival will now be using the whole Dome. Think they're adding indoor seating.

There have a been a few recent reviews indicating that the signs are back up and that the Aft pool is adult only again.

PerCarnival the aftpools will be adult only during the slower timeswhennot a lot of kids travel. During peak travel time for kids, they will be family friendly pools. I am assuming that will be summer and other school vacation times - spring break, Easter, Christmas, New Year or on any cruise that has a high kid count.

That's interesting about the pool. Anyway, back to my original question, have they replaced the deck 10 part of the Lido (I think it was a rotisserie) with something different?

It is a BBQ place now. It was pretty good. We only ate it one time. Too much other to choose from! Wok is really good as well as the Pizza and Deli bars. A lot of people liked the Tandor as well.

Thank you for this information! Did you try the burrito place? I am wondering if they have updated it to be like the fabulous one on the Breeze?

We also jumped on the chance to sail Splendor again before she goes to Asia.

There are very few RT cruises to Hawaii, and the whole family is going back in Oct, 2018.

I'm so happy to hear that we don't have to wait outside to board. We don't have seniority for this trip (we are only gold). Not a fan of sitting on concrete planters.

The parking has always been a PITA, so hoping that's fixed by next Oct. :)

We were on Splendor this Spring Break. I like the ship a lot, love the casino décor.

The Tandoor and BBQ suffered from the same thing all Carnival Lido suffers from, low quality "select" beef, and other lower quality meats. The Tandoor did have a very good chutney selection but the chicken was just ok. Similar to the Mongolian Wok chicken, miscellaneous odd-shaped pieces of chicken.

The aft pool was open to kids in April.

Guess we'll have to see when the aft pool is open to kids on our upcoming Splendor cruises.

Have cruised the SPLENDOR three times and now booked on her for February to say good bye. She is my favorite cruise ship. My initial interest in her was piqued by her relationship to the ill-fated COSTA CONCORDIA.

The aft pool area was my favorite spot . . . bar, pool, and food all together just steps apart. Never needed to go anywhere else.:)

This upcoming cruise will be my third time on Splendor also. I adore that beautiful ship, and can't wait. I am sorry for your loss, but at the same time, happy for California's opportunity to regain Splendor. I mourned when she left before.

Lido is deck 9, but there is a part of the Lido restaurant on Deck 10, which is the part my question is about. There are stairs up from the dessert area. You haven't sailed the ship yet, I take it?
