CruiserBruce Posted July 18, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2017 I doubt it, but the place to ask is the Carnival board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
crystalspin Posted July 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2017 That's a funny one as their FAQ page says only this: "Carnival’s Liquor and Beverage Policy states that guests are prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages onboard that are packaged in bottles." nothing about cans. Probably just written poorly and applies to both, but the Carnival forum link above is the place to ask.
bUU Posted July 18, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2017 There wording is deliberate. It goes on to say: "A small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice, and milk) packaged in*cans*or*cartons*may be brought onboard on embarkation day and must be in the guest's carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person."
paul929207 Posted July 18, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 18, 2017 I think they allow cartons and cans since they are difficult to reseal after filling with booze. Bottles are harder to check.
Rare John Bull Posted July 18, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 18, 2017 That's a funny one as their FAQ page says only this: "Carnival’s Liquor and Beverage Policy states that guests are prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages onboard that are packaged in bottles." nothing about cans. Probably just written poorly and applies to both, but the Carnival forum link above is the place to ask. They're concerned about smuggling alcohol aboard. A coke bottles can be re-filled with rum & coke, a lemonade bottle with vodka. Cans and snip-top cartons can't be re-sealed. JB :)
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 18, 2017 #7 Share Posted July 18, 2017 Yes, you can bring a few small cans of Bloody Mary mix onto the ship in your carry-on bag.
Bonnie J. Posted July 18, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 18, 2017 You MUST bring then on board in your carry on. NOT in your suitcase. Make sure it is in cans, no bottles. I have seen many people carrying a 12 pack of soda as they get on board. You are allowed one 12 pack per person. When I take wine on board they usually check to see the sealed bottle is unopened. teknoge3k Posted July 18, 2017 #9 Share Posted July 18, 2017 We always take 4 12pk cartons of soda on with us. Yes, you can. Just as others have said, be sure they are in cans otherwise they will be thrown away.

crystalspin Posted July 19, 2017 #11 Share Posted July 19, 2017 @bUU I swear I looked! It occurred to me that cans might be OK for the reasons everyone below you contributed, but I flat didn't see it. I'm happy the OP can have his Bloody mix! bspiritbreeze Posted August 26, 2018 #14 Share Posted August 26, 2018 (edited) My wife and I did Royal Caribbean 12/29/2017 and I had two 12 packs of canned Bud light in our luggage. The problem was, we were running real late and had to carry our luggage to the ship. The good part was even though it was scan, nothing was said. I guess it was fate and luck.
