melissam1347 Posted August 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2017 Does anyone have any experience with getting either a refund or shipboard credit of the difference on a fare that went down? We sail on the Allure on 1Oct and our fare went down by about $400 on an upgraded stateroom than what we are in now. We want to stay in our current room stateroom but the Sales desk is saying they don't give fare differences after final payment date. I asked about shipboard credit and he said his hands were tied, he couldn't give us anything. Wondering if I try someone or someplace else. Or is this pretty set in stone? dplusd Posted August 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2017 No price adjustments in any form after final payment date. No refund...no OBC. If a higher category stateroom has dropped below what you paid, you could ask for the upgraded stateroom at no cost. Or if slightly higher than you paid, upgrade by paying the difference. spookwife Posted August 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2017 No longer will they make any adjustments. Been that way for a few years now. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Tiggertastic Posted August 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2017 They will only offer an upgrade if there is one available but nothing else. We were offered one and even that was lower priced than what we'd paid for the current one but wouldn't let me pay the $20 to go a 2nd step up either Sent from my iPad using Forums
xcell Posted August 11, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 11, 2017 Been there .... done that... Sorry OP -- don't let it ruin your cruise...sometimes it pays not to check after final payment (one time my room of 4 dropped $1000 within the week of me booking).
