Luggage caught up,to us in Athens...all is back to normal.ps. The cruise so far has been awesome..really nice itinerary.

OMG, I'm so glad for you. Nobody here wanted to be a big downer about it, but I know we were all thinking, "What a Bummer and How Horrible."

Many airlines will not fly unaccompanied bags in to Mexico.

It's happened when cruise pax fly into San Diego for a Mex Riviera cruise. Airline loses luggage, finds it after ship departs, and refuses to forward it to Mexico.

 

This happened to a lady on our Amazon Explorer cruise Luggage was delayed and did not arrive before the ship left. It could not be forwarded to any of our ports. She was cheerful and had a nice cruise anyway. I would probably have had a cloud over my head. I try to put some of each kind of clothing in a carryon just in case and am glad when we can drive to the port and eliminate the middle man...not always possible.

I know its easy to say be hopeful and fingers crossed.Only lost luggage once -showed up on day 5. Saw my bag and hubbys on the beltway, one after the other. His bag went to Costa Rico, and mine went to St Kitts. Same tags! Problem was we were staying at a beach resort where there was no shopping! I ended up buying boys soccer shoes in the local grocery store and t-shirts on the beach. Deduced that the local women never wore underwear as I couldn't find any in town shops. Since i didn't speak Spanish well, I had to demonstrate what I needed. Underwear was there but under the table! The joys of travel. I learned never to criticize what people were wearing - their luggage could have bee lost too!
