newbie8 Posted September 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2017 I have a cruise next certificate that will expire in a few months but I am not able to take a cruise before it gets expired. I have read some old post where the person said he got a refund for an unused certificate. Has anyone recently requested a refund and been successful ? CruiseNext Deposits are refundable only within 30 days of purchase, in the amount paid minus the amount of the instant shipboard credit. A CruiseNext Deposit can only be applied to a new reservation and otherwise has no cash value and is not redeemable or exchangeable for cash. CruiseNext Deposits are transferable at no charge. Maybe you could gift it to someone, or sell it on one of the auction sites.
newbie8 Posted September 30, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted September 30, 2017 Thanks for your comments. I have never sold anything on ebay so need to figure out how to do it. Just seems easier to me if I can get a refund from NCL. Anyway, I will try to sell it then.
Pav Posted September 30, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 30, 2017 Newbie8, you don't have to cruise before it expires, you just have to book any future cruise before that date.

SeaShark Posted September 30, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 30, 2017 Newbie8, you don't have to cruise before it expires, you just have to book any future cruise before that date. Incorrect. You have to book and sail within 4 years of the purchase date.
Pav Posted September 30, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 30, 2017 Incorrect. You have to book and sail within 4 years of the purchase date. My mistake. I thought you just had to book in that time frame. Sorry for the false hope.
garycarla Posted September 30, 2017 #9 Share Posted September 30, 2017 If anyone could just get a refund, then way more people would buy it, and then refund it. Non refundable is part of the promotion package. Sorry.
relic2 Posted September 30, 2017 #10 Share Posted September 30, 2017 A friend bought a couple on ebay. So that would be a good way to dispose of one, imho. Also, maybe someone here would be a potential buyer. I have a couple already, but would be interested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
