tranfer from san juan airport to adventure of the seas

does rcl provide free shuttle transfer from the san juan airport to the adventure of the seas or do you have to sign up ahead of time and pay for it.

Normally no free buses. There were some early on in the hurricane clean up.

 

Unless the shuttle is free, I would take a taxi if you have more than one person.

I agree with Steve. Taxi fare for your group should be in the $25 range (varies depending on luggage), they are easy to get - a taxi kiosk right outside baggage claim, and you'll be on the ship faster. The transfer waits until the bus is near full, which is frustrating when you're excited and anxious to start your vacation!

Not free, but since we only had two people in the group, we booked the RCCL shuttle.

Unless traveling solo taxis are most likely going to cost less than the RCI shuttle and you won't have to wait around waiting for the shuttle to fill up.

As stated above the best & more economical with 2 or more people is a taxi to the pier :)

We hopped in a cab - very well organized as you will be asked about the size of the party and then a cab assigned. It is a set price plus $1 per bag.

I'm not sure what the shuttle is now, but, the last time (and the only time) we did a shuttle in SJU, they had us go in a bus and our luggage go in a follow-up truck. It was a cluster to say the least.

 

Take a cab...the locals need the money more than RCI does.

It was free for the RCCL transfer on 10/21, but they posted a notice saying that. Not sure if its still free.

Passengers on the October 28 sailing were the last group to receive the complimentary shuttle service. I wouldn't pay for it.

Even if it's free I am not going to do it. The one time I tried, pre-hurricane, it was a huge mess. I'd rather just pay the 25 bucks and start the trip off right.
