What I need to know about Unlimited Drink Package ?

I have heard something about having bottled water or soft drinks delivered to your cabin if you have the package ?

 

Can I order drinks the first day ?

 

What other perks I may not know about ?

 

My 17 year olds have the Refreshment package, what are some good non-alcoholic drinks they should order ?

What are some perks with this package that they may enjoy ?

Room service deliveries are not included in any of the packages. In fact, room service now has a $7.95 charge, except for continental breakfast.

Just got off of Anthem with the drink package. Once you get on board you can use your boarding pass for drinks until you get your seapass card. They had a card in the room where you could order Evian and other beverages to your room however so far as I could tell you had to pay for it - not included in the package.

 

From the first day on I would get a bottle of water here and there throughout the day and bring it back so we had water in the room. I guess you could drink from the tap but I felt more comfortable with the bottles (or fill up your own bottle in the windjammer).

 

Your drink package does not include any beverages you want with room service (as noted above). To add some info to the room service charge is that its per delivery, not per order. So if 4 of you ordered lunch it would still be $7.95.

 

Overall I was happy with the purchase of it. If you enjoy several beverages, as I do, it makes sense. Cocktails are $7-12 each and beers are $7.25 (I believe) for domestic and bottled water is $3.25. A few beers throughout the day and few cocktails in the evenings I made out on the deal.

 

Can't speak to the refreshment package directly, but the other couple we were with had it for their kids and they seemed happy with it.

We used to do the same thing, pick up water bottles from different bars and put them in the fridge. One of my favorite bar tenders in the casino would give me 2 or 3 bottles at a time which was nice.

We had no trouble getting 2 bottles of water at a time for each of us on the unlimited drink package. We would do this when headed back to our room so we'd have it on hand in the morning.

What other perks I may not know about ? you can randomly grab bottles of water all day long and 'hoard' them for port calls or late night in your cabin.

What are some perks with this package that they may enjoy ? its a fairly straightforward deal. unlimited bottled water, fountain soda and non alcoholic drinks. smoothies are only included if there is no protein powders added.

the freestyle machines supposedly have a time limit between fill ups( the cup you get has a chip embedded)

you will need every person's card if you are going to get multiple drinks at once. get caught sharing, and the package is canceled and you are charged individually for every drink consumed up until that point( no refund on the package either )

I have the ultimate drink package on the anthem and they did deliver basically the cops and the water to the room that we could use and then we just got our drinks with our card every time we went to all the bars and stuff the ultimate drink package is definitely the way to go even if you're not a heavy drinker if you drink more than maybe two or three drinks a day which again you have lunch you got dinner it's definitely worth the cost and everything is covered and you don't have to think about it

Be sure to check your bill before the end of the cruise. I had the Ultimate Drink Package on Anthem a few weeks ago and had to stand in line at Guest Services multiple times to have drink charges removed from my bill.

My teenage son loved getting some of the virgin drinks. Lava flow, strawberry mango pina colada, mud slide just to name a few. I wish royal has actual smoothies.

It was my first time buying a drink pkg (ultimate) and it was the highlight of my entire trip!!!! i hope RCL keeps the Ultimate drink pkg at the current price for a long time. It includes bottled water ( ex. order a drink and they will give you up to 2 free bottles of water). Drinks can be up to $13, anything over, you will be charged the difference. It also includes top shelf liquor like Hennessey, Remy Martin, Grey goose...etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i could'nt believe it, but you can order double shots of them at once!!!!. It also works on ordering multiple drinks at the Bionic Bar.

Understand what you are saying, but OP was asking about purchasing an ultimate drink package, so posters are correct. It does not include room service, nor the couple of bottles of water left in your room. If you drink those you are. Billed for them, just the ways it used to be when the mini fridge had cans of soda and water.

 

You can order water to be delivered to your stateroom as a package/gift - just like numerous other packages.

package also includes discounts on wine by the bottle 40 percent off wines under 100 and 20 if over and these wines can be shared by people that do not have package, but we just order wine by the glass

In February on the Rhapsody, hubby got specialty coffee and Latte-tudes with the Deluxe beverage package and we would also stop there and grab Gatorade for our late night and early morning needs to rehydrate after imbibing too much. ;p

I think it is now the Deluxe, but yes, it should cover all places. If it is over the limit, you will pay the difference, and the specialty drinks in the souvenir glasses are not included.

I think a lot of people forget to include specialty coffees and fresh squeezed OJ when they try to figure out if the drink plan is worth it.
