Platinum and Platinum plus

i am plus my husband is platinum. Does anyone know if this means he gets a bottle of wine in the room for his status and I get one for my status. Same with strawberries and comp dinners?

I’ve heard stories of people getting two sets of vouchers when in your situation, so it is possible you will get extra meals. Don’t count on it though.

 

I’d be surprised if you get double wine or strawberries delivered to the room, but I suppose you never know.

As far as dinners, you will get 1 dinner for 2 at either LeBistro or Cagney's and 1 dinner for 2 at either Moderno or LaCucina. 1 of the dinners will be with a bottle of wine.

It used to be per person with status. When they changed the program recently...that changed to per cabin.

I’m sure that the OP knows about the changes to the latitudes rules.

 

The issue they have is that there are different sets of vouchers for different latitudes levels. There have been examples where, if the people in the room are different levels then they leave a set for each level.

 

In the OPs situation, people have been left a platinum set, giving the two meals plus a platinum plus set, giving another two meals. People have reported being able to use both.

Strawberries and wine are per stateroom so just one. Meals is interesting it has been known for those in separate levels to get a voucher each BUT ......... Who knows how the staff on board read the booking and rules.

 

I wonder how long it will be before a solo is downgraded to a single meal on each docket rather than the two they get now.

FYI ~ there are virtually no Platinum perks on 3 or 4 day cruises. We received priority boarding and free internet time however did not receive priority tenders or the specialty dining.

The online information regarding various tier benefits in the Latitudes program clearly states that:

Quote: Note: Onboard Discounts (including the pre-booking of shore excursions) are available on all sailings. All other benefits are available on sailings 5 days or longer. End of quote.

So if you actually got your free internet minutes without having to pay for them, then good for you.... :)

Strawberries are per stateroom, but I noticed that I got many fewer when I took a solo trip than the usual when I am with another platinum. So it may be one plate, but double the number on it (I think 3 vs 6, or 4 vs 8).

the whole thing needs some adjustment they are saying the whole idea is to reward us for loyalty but then they give you booze even if you do not drink and do not even offer a alternative duh just give us a 6 pack of soda instead of the cheap booze

The 4 count strawberries is simply more cost cutting by NCL. Their motto is 'Skin it to the Bone'.

I joked with our Room Steward, what if someone is allegic to chocolate, can I get plain fresh strawberries on request.

 

As for that bottle of bubbles, I agreed, trade or exchange it for 2 bottles of Aquafina water. 2 of them donated to our Meet & Mingle by members as door prizes, duh.
