travellingnana Posted December 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2017 Can I pay my daily gratuities with OBC? Thanks!
easyboy Posted December 13, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2017 Your OBC will be posted as credit on your folio account. The daily gratuities will be charged on the same account. On final billing, your total charges, including gratuities, will be applied to all your OBCs. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

paul929207 Posted December 13, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 13, 2017 OBC is a credit to your on board account. Anything charged to it (including the daily autotip) uses it until it is all gone.
travellingnana Posted December 13, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted December 13, 2017 Thank you! I was hoping that was the answer!
JF - retired RRT Posted December 13, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 13, 2017 Two types of OBC...refundable and nonrefundable. Refundable is (for the most part) veteran's OBC. Almost all OBC is nonrefundable (use it or lose it). Nonrefundable isn't that big of a deal because most get just enough to pay the grats. Nonrefundable is used first, refundable is used after all nonrefundable is gone. If you have any refundable left at the end of the cruise, you can cash it out. If less than $20, you can go to passenger services to claim it. If it's more than $20, a check will be issued and mailed to your home. Watch your mail carefully until you get it, the check looks like junk mail and does not come from Princess!!
voljeep Posted December 13, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 13, 2017 Excellent summary - we had a small -less than $4 - refundable credit from our last cruise and lost it due to not knowing about having to go to passenger services. no biggie, but would have maybe picked up a candy bar or something in the gift shop the night before...
