We boarded at 10:57am!!! I immediately went to the CG to make a reservation for Ro's birthday on Thursday. I then called room service to change our mini-bar offerings. We are now eating at Alfredos. The Elite wifi is now unlimited. The speed test is great, but it is barely working. I assume it will get better at sea. The obstructed balcony is awesome!

We are booked on E437 on an obstructed balcony on the Royal. I can see a jog out on our balcony. Do you think ours will be similar to yours? Looks great!

What is the cabin number? We have E 407 reserved on an upcoming cruise and hope the balcony is similar to this.

Your food photos are great, love the veal ravioli in the decadent cream sauce!! We always have embarkation lunch at Alfredo’s on Regal or Royal!

I usually don't give out my cabin number till the end...too risky after I post my huge casino winnings...right [emoji12]. You are all warm! Here is the site I used to find my cabin. https://sites.google.com/site/royalregalprincess/home/8-emerald

After eating we went to the pool. Billy Joel ended and the NFL game is on now. It is 138 steps between Emerald & Lido. I need to get as much exercise in as possible to offset some of the eating! I did 50 laps in the pool. I am happy that it was not the ice bath I am used to on the Regal. I could not resist after that and took a stroll through the buffet. In the beginning it was salted lamb kabob, then it changed to beef....whatever animal it is, I love that stuff!

This is wonderful! Thank you for the photos and patters. We are on the Regal for the first time (2nd cruise ever) in March, travelling from Toronto. I am reading everything that I can in order to begin my vacation well informed. Your thread is one of the best IMHO.

We used the same site and I think we are in the same cabin, which looks super.

Nice post! We just got off the Regal a week ago. We did the 10 day New Years cruise to the southern Caribbean. The Regal is a beautiful ship, it was our first time on her. We had 600 kids on board with us so lots of chair hogs at the pools on sea days. Alfredo’s was our favorite place to eat. Can’t say too much about the food in the buffet or MDR but I am a picky eater and we sail Oceania often and their food is the best. Entertainment on the Regal was superb! We loved happy hour at Crooners. Enjoy your trip.

After a quick muster station...no life jackets....we are now at the sail away party. The CD and dancers are out here. I already forgot the CDs name...Dan Ravener...or something like that I think. The band is Xcite. The captain is:

I just started reading Robert Crais - The Wanted. So far today has been perfect!

Thanks for the live-from, we will be following closely. We will be in E421 on 1/28, following a week trial in an interior next week.

Can you find out who will be replacing Dan Falconer next week as CD. If in fact my research is correct and he is going on vacation.

Thnx, Jim

Love to read these Live reports , I wish there were more of the on the Princess boards. I'm going to be doing one on our cruise in April, On previous Live from reports I wrote them on the main cruise critic site, it was painfully slow and sometimes impossible to download pictures. I see you are posting through the mobile app. can you tell me how that works and is it faster?? Thanks in advance

The internet seems to have much better coverage. At times it works quite well...when the pictures come through....other times it just spins and I cancel whatever I was doing and try again. The Elite perk change from a free time limited login, to unlimited....which is awesome for a Live From...

Thank you for your interesting reports! Great news about the unlimited internet for elites! Glad you got on the ship before 11am! DH and I will be sailing in February, so I am very interested in what you have to say! Thank you for taking the time to let us know how your cruise is going! :D

When we sailed away, the ship was moving quite fast and the wind and cold picked up immediately. I moved from the pool to the balcony...looking at the seas, you would think we were in bad weather. We both started to feel the lack of sleep from yesterday's adventure. I needed to get my blood sugar back up...it is not normal for me to be cold on a Caribbean cruise! We went to the buffet....soup, salad, stir-fry and a sample plate....nothing to exciting. The Choco cake looked better than it was...I didn't eat it and am making an effort to not go crazy on the sweets like I did last year. I had a coffee in the atrium, and we listed to a classical trio. We then walked around a bit and saw the comedian. The theatre was already full when we got there, so we went elsewhere and then made our way back and watched from the entrance. He was ok. Nothing won at the Effy raffle this time. Tomorrow we are in PC....hoping for a nice day!
